SPU isn't in a bad neighborhood. It's just south of JSQ.
Kinda surprised TCNJ is at 1260...they were a hot number in my day...in fact they were probably around 1260 in GS 1.0, believe RU was around 1230/1240 and no other college was coming close to breaking 1200, maybe, maybe Stevens.
Also, kind of surprised here, would have put Rowan ahead of the other NJ publics aside from maybe NJIT...certainly way ahead of Monmouth.
Maybe it's me, but I would say after Princeton, RU, TCNJ and NJIT and Stevens for engineering there's not much nuance among the rest...like I might put Rowan as next of the best, or maybe Drew, but after that's it's whole lot of meh.
Granted, St. Peter's currently may not have the academic standards that some of the other schools in New Jersey have (based on average SAT), but the OP's comment is unfair and is obviously an unwarranted assumption.
