One out of 11 years is nothing to brag about...How many top 15 seasons have we had without him?
One out of 11 years is nothing to brag about...
I'm sorry one out of the 7 since the first 4 seasons dont count on this board.
FakeI listed his actual stats. 11 years zero conference titles. Average Big East finish was 5th. His last 3 years his best finish was 4th.
So you admit that he couldnt beat WV?What was the score of our WVU game in 2012?

Dude you just don't get it, if you talk to some of his former players and staff, the guy is hung like a horse and that along with the gap in his front teeth really does it for some of the "hardcore" Schiano lovers on this board.Schiano spent 11 years at Rutgers and never won a conference title. Heck, Flood figured out how to do that. His last three seasons on the banks his best finish was 4th place in the crappy old Big East.
Why do you remember him being as a guy which after more than a decade on the job could only deliver a crappy 4th place in a conference much weaker than the BigTen? And why do you believe he will somehow do better and not be completely outmatched by better game day coaches like he was for 11 years in the old Big East?
Dont forget that cotton candy OOC that year..
UNC: 3-9 record
Illinois: 2-10 record
Ohio: Mac school
Howard: Non Major
There are three things you need to know about College Football. Everything else falls into place based on these three things
1) Recruiting
2) Recruiting
3) Recruiting
Greg Schinao can flat out recruit and has all the connections to jump-start the program and give hope where it is desperately needed .
What will hold the program back long-term is hiring another cheap/unproven coordinator or possibly worse, an also-ran like Adazzio.most people wanted him gone on this board as he demonstrated he was not a good game-day coach and spent too much time on the small micro details. This board has a short memory. He is the best short-term option but ultimately will hold the program back long-term if brought back
When was the Illinois series scheduled? You probably don't know so I'll tell you- 2001, when they were 10-2 and B1G champs and we were a lousy 2-9. I was amazed at how Schiano was able to see 5 years into the future- truly a mystical event. Ohio also won the MAC East that year.

Listen, how do you not see it. We were horrible before he got here. We were respectable while he was here. We sucked since his players left. APR scores anyone? Why did he get hired by NFL? Why Miami and Michigan have interest? What is your agenda?Schiano spent 11 years at Rutgers and never won a conference title. Heck, Flood figured out how to do that. His last three seasons on the banks his best finish was 4th place in the crappy old Big East.

I don’t believe you understand what GS accomplished here! He did so much with so little. Imagine what he can accomplish now with real support! Come on folks!Schiano spent 11 years at Rutgers and never won a conference title. Heck, Flood figured out how to do that. His last three seasons on the banks his best finish was 4th place in the crappy old Big East.

Does change the fact that it was a weak schedule in 2006? The schedule was weak and he still couldn't get the job done. Texas bowl bc he couldn't take care of a 7 win Cincy team and couldn't beat a freshman backup quarterback. This is this guys one glory yr - in a decade too
Randy Edsall won two conference titles. Maybe you would prefer him? He may pick up the phone too.I listed his actual stats. 11 years zero conference titles. Average Big East finish was 5th. His last 3 years his best finish was 4th.
When you look at how much we won in the two decades prior to the 2000's I can see where your disappointment comes from. I hope they find all the awards and trophies we won during those years so we can display them again.

Hmmm looks eerily similar to Alabama's OOC this year.Dont forget that cotton candy OOC that year..

And you're probably going to get him again. If he's such a great recruiter - why couldn't he win the big east?
I don't care about that. I care about reaching our potential. And Greg is not good enough to get us there. Its time move on to bigger and better things -- away from the influence of Greg Schiano

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Now I know you’re trolling. What is Rutgers potential?
I think is much higher than you. Doesn't matter anyways
So true. For one. Floods team that “won” the big East was all schiano guys.
Schiano literally took a d1-as program who had been to one bowl in 125 years and got them to be ranked in the top 15 in the final polls within 5 years. He went to 7 bowl games. We have been to a total of 3 bowl games in the 140 years he wasn’t a coach.
he ran a very clean program that was top APR every year.
he recruited at the highest level ever for Rutgers
He built the facilities and stadium expansion.
Very few scandals or arrests.
He was more than a coach to many players and students and alumni. See Legrand
We went from 5k season tickets to a waiting list under him.
HE IS THE REASON WE ARE IN THE BIG!!
there is no candidate right now interested in this job that will better meet our needs then Greg. At the very least he will reunite the fanbase and bring in recruits and get facilities built.
********Leading off a post with a serious question = douchebag post to follow.
Loaded with rosters full of NFL talent & could never win a Conference championship. Mediocre coach.Schiano spent 11 years at Rutgers and never won a conference title.
