As much as I don't like the results at the moment this is why you want real time results, great drama. Well I said this group was likely the hardest and I think it's played out that way.
Right now Germany is out though not Mexico. Haven't been watching as much of the Sweden game.
They do and then Mexico would be out but they can't get it sigh....It's still a dazed sleepwalk but the game is opening up a little now with back and forth with Germany pressing and counters being invited.Right, my bad, Germany needs a 1-0 win right now I believe??
They really are making it hard to think even if they do advance today they will get out of the knockout round. How often can you call on last minute heroics? Not feeling good, especially the way they're playing.
I mentioned the same above, if they can repeat the miracle again which is unlikely twice in a row I don't seem them advancing deep either. Not the way they're playing. Sloppy passing, communication, etc...Always capable and dangerous but not their usual selves. They really are making it hard to think even if they do advance today they will get out of the knockout round.
Still think Germany scares anyone?Germany scares everyone, that's an asinine statement.
It never seems to work out for Germany in Russia.
Not a bad choice but would the Federation go for a second German after the Klinsman? I personally like the Morocco coach Bernard, but I don't seem him as a viable candidate.Any preference for Low as coach for the US if the Germans boot him? Would he be as good without the talent?

Well just like football here, if you're lower down the totem pole you don't get higher level coaches unless they've screwed up somewhere else first. So yes you can criticize the poor near term results but if he didn't have them he wouldn't be available either.... which we don't even don't know at the moment.Well I sure as hell don’t want Osario after today But it really doesn’t say much about Los when the #1 team in the world doesn’t make it out of group play and loses to South Korea 2-0. #hiretab

Bigger thing is, can he win without the talent of Germany and develop some of our own. I don't follow closely enough to know any of that.

Was just looking at some articles and it's likely a moot point. Seems like his contract was extended earlier this year from 2020 out to 2022 and the German Football Association president said they want him in charge of the transition towards younger players regardless of outcome of the World Cup. I think his salary is around 4M Euros too.I Don’t want to guy who almost goes winless in group play with the defending champion and the #1 team in the world under his watch. No ****ing thank you IMHO that’s NOT The type of coach is going to develop young players. Just the opposite.

Have no clue what managers in the Euro leagues make but read he could be up for the Arsenal job too.

Well looking at the post below yours looks like you don't have to feel anything because I guess they've hired someone else lol.As an Arsenal fan I’m not sure how I feel about this lol!!
Sure does. That haven' been playing well of late and certainly not in Russia. They are not anywhere near the team of 4 years ago. What was asinine was you thinking they were suddenly going to wake up. They couldn't score on SK and finished last in their group. My statement was and still is 100% spot on.Doesn't make you any less wrong than when you originally posted.

Yes but in friendlies since March they lost to Brazil, Austria, draw against Spain. Yes I know friendlies aren't full squads but Germany was supposed to have great depth. Certainly not taking games leading in seriously at all. Not having Sane on the team was a big mistake too.I’m pretty sure Germany didn’t lose a single game in qualifying and outscored their opponents something like 34 to 4? So to say they “haven’t been playing well as of late” needs to be limited to ONLY WC play and they DID completely tank during The Cup WITHOUT question!!
Tremendous athletes flopping and faking injuries way too much. Makes it a very frustrating watch for me at times. But that being said still extremely exciting and can't wait till it comes here.
Shame So. Korea wasn't a chance so both Mex and Germany could have lost out of 16.
