The game of his life, so far. I suspect he will have many games of his life. Maybe even another in the next two weeks.
I thought the same. Don't know where he plays but was wondering a couple nice performances close to this one and maybe he can turn it into a nice payday like James Rodriguez did at the last World Cup with Colombia.

Suarez/Cavani had a nice "give and go" goal. Not really seen much from Portugal thus far.

He plays at PSG he is getting a nice payday already, more to come

At the end of the 2017 season, Mbappe was transferred from Monaco to PSG at a fee of 185M euros. Second highest transfer fee in history, only behind Neymar. Mbappe will shatter that record before too long - IF PSG is willing to sell.

Barca and Real were trying to get him before the World Cup. He is very well known already

Well I don't follow the leagues much over there but he must have shown a lot already then at 19 only. You can see his potential even for a pedestrian fan like me.

Cavani with another one. I always like those goals that display touch and placement. Beautiful curl boom into the far corner.

He's a great player but his continuous flopping is such a turn off. Does Pac Man flop as much for Barcelona as he does in World Cups?

He bites which is worse. I recall 3 times he actually bit an opponent. He was given suspensions, not enough imho.

Yea I know that's why I called him Pac Man. I don't know if he's still done that after the last World Cup, I'd like to think not. But the continuous flopping I suspect he still does.

He is the worst IMO. I think they'll "ugly up" the France matchup. Will be card-a-palooza.

Edit: replied to wrong Madru post. Meant Suarez is the worst.

No question he is talented, tormented me when he played at Liverpool. I just don’t like his act, there are a few like him I just don’t like, Diego Costa is another one.

4 games now the Spanish starters have not uttered a single word of their national anthem. Very, very odd IMHO!!

Spain completely dominating possession, but with very little to show for it, as they can't make that final pass to set up a great scoring chance. I've always enjoyed watching Spain's passing skill and rooted for them in 2010 when they won it all. 15 more minutes to go until the dreaded PKs. Cannot stand how they decide elimination games. Play till someone wins, like hockey.

Never seen a game this one sided with possession.

Spaniards are such fakers.

That works in hockey because of unlimited substitution. Which I can't see ever happening in soccer - although I wish I could.

Yes, I should have added that much more substitution would need to be allowed, which they won't do - doesn't mean I have to like PKs...

Spain blows it on PKs. Better team did not win today. I hate ****** PKs. Great save on the last one by the Russian keeper, though, and de Gea should've saved the 2nd one.

So, who predicted Germany, Spain and Argentina all would be out before the quarterfinals? That's right, nobody, lol.

Spain lost this game 2 days before the World Cup started when their federation fired the coach because it was announced he took the Real Madrid job. Ridiculous by them.

Croatia looks like the class of that half of the bracket and they must be thrilled that if they beat Denmark, Russia is the all that remains to get to the final four.

Would be kind of cool, IMO, to see a France-England final. Croatia's path to the semis is pretty easy, although Russia keeps surprising people.
