These new updates saying they 'erred' indicates to me that Fitzgerald is 100% done. Fully expecting him to be fired before the suspension ends.
Fitz is toast. They have a mid-3 star OT committed, 6-7, 240 with a marginal offer list (Oregon St, Wash St, Fresno). He looks like about it to be poached.

I wonder if they would consider hiring Jim Leonhard from Wisconsin. Maybe Paul Chryst? I doubt that there’s much out there for them at this time of the year. One thing for sure - they won’t hire anyone from the current staff.

I have no problem with you speaking out against those deplorable circumstances. I do struggle a bit with you saying Nebraska fans are good with it. Our misfortune was all self inflicted by hiring Eichorst as AD not knowing how to hire a head coach and SF failing when most of us thought he was the home run hire and he turned out the totally opposite..

For those wanting to defend or minimize this, are you minimizing the same types of brutality outside of sports? These schools, coaches and administrators that work to allows this on the margins, they do it it
Elitist mindset has some major issues in it. Scandals like this current issue at NW seem to be a growing part of that mindset, that it is acceptable, or at worst case excusable. It isn’t.

I would argue it was "A" decision, but not the best one. Nebraska could have sought entrance into the SEC. I don't think they even tried.

Since we joined the conference there is no question that it has had way too many scandals and embarrassing ones at that..
If the school determines that what took place was bad enough to get rid of the head coach then how do you also not fire the rest of the staff who also knew what was going on and most certainly were more involved/aware at the player level … likewise how do you not suspend the upper upperclassmen who adjudicated these “penalties”

Sucking and being in the better conference are not related. We sucked all on our own. Our success in the B1G has been set up from the very beginning. We were supposed to be the powerhouse of a weak West.

But seriously, it was all there for the taking. Still is. Coach Rhule is doing what should have been done since the firing of Coach Solich. Build the program. You can't just think about one star player changing everything. You have to build a foundation. Now, what does that have to do with a conference? Nothing. Our lack of success is our own undoing. Our conference affiliation has nothing to do with that.

This conference sucks. They do not want us and have done everything they can to screw us over from day 1. How anyone can still think being part of this **** show was a good idea is beyond me. Yes Nebraska needs to care of if their business and get better, but we will have to be so dam good to over come the inevitable screw jobs from the B1G.
For YEARS we made fun of the Big Ten, rightfully so, then we joined and some fans started to pretend like it was awesome.
You support them every time you turn on the TV to watch B1G football. Guaranteed you watched Ohio St v Mich, Ohio St. v Georgia and Mich v TCU. Get off your high horse, no one condones these actions. Everyone can separate these issues from just wanting to sit on a Friday/Saturday and watch college football.
