awww - I'm 4/25


Being fm the family I'm from we enjoy fierce loyalty and lots of laughter but probably don't always communicate as clearly or regularly as others do - esp smaller families

Case in point with not always thoroughly communicating within our ranks -- I'm now 50 years old and was casually informed not that long ago that our family name (Cox) -- really shouldn't apply

because my Dad's dad -- was a love child from an illicit affair that my slutty grand momma had ....the surprise bastard was tagged with the family name anyway "to avoid the appearance of scandal" (seems too little too late to me?) ......"we think he was 'A Monroe' I was told"

So we're a bunch of bastards with murky bootleg DNA deposited late one night by some nameless barnstorming rapist-man --->> who may have been "A Monroe"

ALSO -- that same Grandfather -- adopted Dickie Lyons' Dad and raised him ....
would have LOVED TO HAVE KNOWN THAT WHEN COUSIN DICK WAS PLAYING FOR UK, MOM

I have this unsettling feeling she's going to drop something else on me before she passes


like - maybe I'm actually black since her dad was "melungon"......???

-The oldest also met a girl at running camp from the Northern Kentucky area. Went to watch her race on Saturday then went to the Loveland Trail to get his 8 miles in. I am not sure if I am happy that he has a girlfriend from Northern Kentucky. Is that even Kentucky?

I’m from Maysville which I’d like to think of as pretty solidly Kentucky. It’s geographically but not necessarily culturally Northern Kentucky. Married a girl from Ft Thomas. She and her family talk funny but they’re definitely Kentucky. I’ve grown to appreciate Northern Kentucky the more I’ve gotten to know it. He’ll be aight.

Some of you might know that my new job/hobby, is driving a school bus for Scott County Public Schools.

I asked them where the GPS tablet goes (in order to load bus routes/pickups etc. like practically every other school district has now)

To be fair, they live in a meth infested city where the homeless litter the sidewalks with feces, creating a virtual landmine field to navigate on the way to the office, so I can see why they're distressed over getting out.
