Loving Brooks looking like a rich man's Erik Daniels with his interior passing.

You meant poor man’s surely.

I love Brooks, but ED was a master - among the best in the country at his role as an upperclassman - 1st Team All SEC

Brooks can ultimately be better, but put some spec on Daniels name. He isn’t anyone’s poor man on this squad.

The line for everyone to say “Ol’ MaxP was right, this team is going to turn around once Brooks comes back!” starts here.

One of the most impressive things about this game was how we continued to play through the contact. Seemed like the refs were letting them push and shove all over the place in that press and shove in the back on rebounds. We had a rough stretch at the 3-4 minute mark of the second half handling that press, but that had more to do with Brooks being out and our inability to inbound the ball.

I'm really starting to trust Askew and Mintz to get things set up.

Anyone watched The Fightin' John Petty's?

I always worry about that guy as we basically stopped recruiting him after signing Doron Lamb.

He has a score to settle.

Good shooting, the saying goes, is contagious.

So is good passing.

The guys looked more confident and more relaxed knowing Keion was gonna be playing with them. I think it's pretty likely that the freshmen look up to him as a leader even when he wasn't playing.

But the best news of all for today: Players & coaches kneeling before the game has led Marc Maggard to proclaim that he's officially done with being a UK basketball fan. He's outraged that "his" university allowed it to happen.
