I was hoping to get him back for the UT game. We will really need EJ and Nick to step up if Travis is out until the Florida game.

I'd say Travis will be back for the UT game unless there is a underlying hope to become a 2 seed instead of a #1 so we can play in louisville. Which would be very hard to believe.

Have a feeling Zion has "further complications" with his knee, it never "fully heals" and he sits out the rest of the season.
I think they took a RS off a dude on February 23rd for a reason that is related to Zion either being out longer than they hope or the possibility of him deciding to hang it up for the draft. I hope for the latter.

I think it's just silly to hope for a #2 seed to be placed in Louisville as opposed to a #1 seed just because there is far from any guarantee that the committee would let us go to Louisville as a #2 seed anyways. Give me the #1 seed all day.

I think this may be right. I think K is not getting 100% confirmation or vibe that he's gonna return and is preparing for the worst.

The polls don't matter.

I don't think this is a chess move, or any kind of move frankly, for K.

I think Zion's parents are behind this and will be the reason he never steps foot again on a college court.

It was mostly a joke (the K part), but I said polls to include seeding. It absolutely would affect that.

remember when Arizona had the kid with the bad back. Everyone knew he was out for the season but they refused to admit it because they knew they'd lose the #1 seed.

nothing really to do with Duke but random crap I remember.

I believe K will make sure the kid is 100% like a Kyrie, which should be by tournament time ACC or NCAA

Some saying they took the RS off at an absurdly late date because of White not hitting 3s. Well who would you trust more this late in the season, Jack White who has shown he can knock them down or a guy who hasn't played all year. Seems so very strange to me.

That's the other part of it. I said yesterday that he MAY have taken the red shirt off of him to motivate White. If so, K's more of a piece of garbage than I ever thought.

This!!! You can’t expect a redshirt to become a reliable contributor with only 2 weeks of regular season left. Even if you have a guy in Jack White that can’t hit the broadside of barn right now. That’s a panic move....

Yeah IMO he misses tomorrow and either comes back Saturday or next Tuesday . I am surprised Zion is still out as while both Travis and Zion could go IMO if they had to , K rarely cares enough to let a kid get the rest he could use.

Maybe...but the social climate surrounding the topic of sitting out to protect yourself even if you’re healthy etc is much different now than it was then.

The Bosa kid from OSU just dipped on an entire football season to prepare for the draft.

Agreed on 1 seed.

Not sure there is any sort of conspiracy here. Zion had a pretty noticeable limp walking around before the Syracuse game.

If you're Duke, even if you know he's done, you don't say it because that destroys your seed. So while I believe he'll be back, we'd have no way of knowing otherwise because they'd be foolish to admit it.

Everyone should already know how this will go. K is never under any pressure when it comes to how he manages his teams and players, and right now he is. He’s going to be careful, but he will play Zion eventually and no one will stop him. I can’t even see Zions dad stopping it.

This is why these players are stupid for allowing Nike to push them to a guy like K. He has too much control over his program and K doesn’t care about a players NBA goals. It’s just not a good idea.
