This was a huge worm turner for me. Nobody wants to see an annoying, overexposed sports podcast host and a failed white rapper turned 💩y country singer anywhere near a Mania main event.

I thought this year’s Mania was the worst in ages. The build sucked. Adding celebrities made it worse. Being bombarded for 2 nights of constant, shameless capitalism-ing pissed me off the point I am done with the weekly TV and steal the PLEs very intentionally.

Other worm turners for me in the last 18 months include:
12-15 minutes between every match on PLEs
F’n commercials during matches, sponsored everything, various attempts to extort more cash from cash strapped fans (Club WWE anyone?)
Constantly bragging about record gates while exploited fans clap like seals
Hiring Brainworms Bobby’s niece under “political pressure.”
TKO as a whole

AEW ain’t perfect, and they still do some silly indie stuff I don’t care for. But I don’t feel dirty after watching it and generally enjoy watching wrestling on the wrestling show.
To be fair to WWE, commercials during matches is basically the standard for TV. Unless they are doing it on the PLEs too then that's a different story.

AEW does commercials during matches (unless you subscribe to MyAEW!), TNA does though probably not if you watch I thru their YouTube subscription. ROH did it when they had TV deals back in the day. WCW did it. ECW probably did too, I just can't remember.

Though WWE does go a bit overboard with it during matches.

Raw set a new record viewership low last week at just 2 million viewers, down 20% from last week. The previous record low was 2.2 million, though there are three weeks in which data is not available because it didn't chart in the Netflix top 10. The previous low for this year was 2.5 million.

They did 3.3 million for the April 20th episode. That's a decrease of 39.4% in like six weeks. They've shed viewers every single episode since that April 20th peak.

Blooodline redux ain't it.

Gotta think Brock figures into SummerSlam but if it were up to me, Oba wins KofR, beats Roman, then beats Brock in a title match at Survivor Series.
That works because the way Oba has been built up literally those are the only 2 legit opponents other then maybe Gunther or Bron.

Occasionally if you ask the WrestleTix person about a specific show he'll answer back. I may do it just for fun.

Dynamite for this evening from Cincinnati.

AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley vs. Shane Taylor.
Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Semi-Final: Swerve Strickland vs. Brody King.
Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Quarter-Final: The debuting Sareee vs. Skye Blue.
Mark Briscoe vs. Pac.
Orange Cassidy vs. Andrade El Idolo.

Fair. Is Twitter as bad as the others?
I would argue X is the worst of all of the socials. So many bots. Terrible voices are heavily amplified. I deleted my account in spring of 2024 and haven’t missed it once.

I’m not on bluesky, IG or Facebook. I’m on reddit but don’t take it seriously. It’s just a bunch of shiz posting, rage bait, flaming and trolling.

It tells me that I am not alone in my decision to drop WWE programming from my TV watching schedule. Whole GD show is an ad/backstage segment/long promo.

I’m not asking for 140 minutes of wrestling on a 150 minute show, but is 50-60 minutes of wrestling on a 150 minute show too much to ask?

As for the Bloodline redux, we are somewhere between NWO red/white and NWO 2000. This well is dry, y’all.

I use xcancel to view Twitter posts. I've got a few users bookmarked. I can view all their posts (including anything they retweet or quote). Doesn't require me having an account. Can't do anything with it other than view posts but that's all I really have any interest in doing anyway. Doesn't work perfectly by any means but it gets the job done good enough.

I was a big nWo Wolfpac fan in the beginning. Mostly because of Sting, but also Scott Hall. Though in hindsight having two nWo factions was pretty stupid.

The MFT's are 100% the NWO Black & White B-team that was led by Stevie Ray. The current Bloodline is NWO 2000 since ti has core members from the original NWO.

Imagine being JC Mateo and whichever Tonga bro they cut when WWE decided to just do a Bloodline remake after cutting them.

Agree that Solo’s little group has NWO B-team vibes. All that’s missing is Brian Adams and Scott Norton (who was a good worker).

I hope Jeff Cobb was paid well for his cup of coffee.

Everything Solo has done, replace with Fatu and it works much better. Solo isn't the enforcer or leader type but Fatu is. Fatu side eyeing Solo and being behind him should've happened with Reigns. Solo just isn't that guy but they tried. Dude crushed Cena once upon a time and it wasn't believable.

Raw and Smackdown follow the same basic formula every week. Start the show off with a 20 minute talk segment in the ring. Go to some backstage segment. Then finally have the first match with about 3 minutes is shown before cutting to commercials. It's the same thing almost every single week.

Is there a specific reason why Moxley is never a draw in his own city? It's been mentioned countless times on tv that Cincinnati is his town and there's 1266 for tonight.

There’s other factors. Perhaps Cincinnati just isn’t as hot a market for AEW in general. Personally, I wouldn’t pay $0.50 to watch Mox but I don’t think ticket sales reflect so much on one guy like it’s 1986.

I don't know how it is for wrestling but the place they are in Cincinnati is a really cool place to see a concert. The floor is standing only and then they have 2 balconies in the back that hold maybe 2,000 people.
