It’s hilarious Trump had a hand in it getting done. Not really surprised by the response. A red card is hardly ever recended . Whether it was not warranted in the first place ( it wasn’t) can’t come into play here. The USA would be making the same response if the roles were reversed.
The red card wasn’t rescinded. The one game disqualification was suspended for a year. They did the same for Ronaldo too so it doesn’t seem like special treatmentNot really surprised by the response. DP, you realise far more than half our country does not like him, me included.POTUS should have delivered this news in his speech last night. It would have been absolute top tier entertainment to watch millions try and figure out how they want to respond. Ha!
I think there is a little charm in some of the abstract, subjective rulings. Kind of like PI and holding in football. Sport is about entertainment, drama, and tension. And nothing builds tension more than having goals taken away or not really knowing when the match is going to end. According to the stats, Mexico dominated the game...held onto the ball for 75% of the game and pressured the goal much more often. This was a major missed opportunity for Mexico. They have a solid team and get to play at home in an impossible environment.Mexico England was so terribly officiated. Soccer needs to learn from the other sports how to use replay, because right now it does it wrong
England dominated Mexico, but was kept interesting (viewers, host nation also), with very questionable calls.
Lol, it's not even close to half, and many who dont, still like his effectiveness.DP, you realise far more than half our country does not like him, me included.
I have no idea what that fool extolls.
You, on the otherhand were getting it hard from your "not gay" buddy all while the kid next door is showing your daughter how real men deal with bees![]()

With all the flopping and crying to officials that go on in soccer, I'm surprised Purdue is not a perennial NCAA powerhouse.I say it...then EVERYONE starts saying.
It is the most manipulated sport in the world. Might as well be playing basketball in the driveway with your friends...
"The crack over there is out of bounds, you heard me say that, you were OUT OF BOUNDS! No, not that crack, the bigger crack, next to the thorn bush!!!"
"Na Timmy! You're toe was on the line! But since we don't have video replay and this is my driveway, its a 2 point shot. Don't like it? Cry to mommy."I say it...then EVERYONE starts saying.

Your a bigger Soccer fan then Me . So basically FIFA doesn’t have an appeal process to get a red card recended but they can suspend a red card at their choosing anytime? This episode and the following actions are going to be instrumental as a catalyst of due process within the FIFA bylaws and regulations.
FIFA has no appeal process for a red card after the match.
This isn't the first time FIFA has suspended a red card disqualification in following matches.
Just recently superstar Christiano Renaldo received a red card in a qualifying match for WC 26 and would have had to sit out/DQ the first 2 matches of 2026 WC.
For some reason the RBFA didnt feel the need to defend the integrity (LOL) of the beautiful game when this occurred.
DUE PROCESS---isn't that what we hear as being paramount for the delivery of justice?
I think the NBA is worse because there are fewer players and generally one superstar on the court. This means foul trouble can determine the outcome of any game. Cards are reviewable in soccer, whereas fouls are not going to be reviewed in the early portions of an NBA game. There is a reason there is so much gambling drama surrounding the NBA vs. other sports. It is just so much more "manipulat-able". Soccer has "subjective" rules but they are generally fairly innocuous, most of the time. And with VAR and technology the off-sides and ball crossing line problems aren't going to be as much of an issue.I say it...then EVERYONE starts saying.

Watching the normal shitbags not be able to control their emotions to the point where they cheer against their own country… all because of the mere thought of sports success (while someone they don’t like is in office), is definitely something. I can’t even get in that mindset. You’d have to be such a ******* loser in your own “life” to get triggered about something like this. It’s completely predictable, and another indication of all the broken retards in this country. I’d gladly trade the fans of these other countries that are here following their teams, and send these lazy, fat, angry *****’s over in exchange.Having one of the most corrupt administration's reach out to influence THE most corrupt sports governing body to pull strings in favor of the US whose population for the most point mocks this sport to begin with is quite the conundrum. I love it!
