Not really surprised by the response. A red card is hardly ever recended . Whether it was not warranted in the first place ( it wasn’t) can’t come into play here. The USA would be making the same response if the roles were reversed.
It’s hilarious Trump had a hand in it getting done.

The red card wasn’t rescinded. The one game disqualification was suspended for a year. They did the same for Ronaldo too so it doesn’t seem like special treatment

POTUS should have delivered this news in his speech last night. It would have been absolute top tier entertainment to watch millions try and figure out how they want to respond. Ha!
DP, you realise far more than half our country does not like him, me included.

I have no idea what that fool extolls.

You, on the otherhand were getting it hard from your "not gay" buddy all while the kid next door is showing your daughter how real men deal with bees 😂😂

Mexico England was so terribly officiated. Soccer needs to learn from the other sports how to use replay, because right now it does it wrong
England dominated Mexico, but was kept interesting (viewers, host nation also), with very questionable calls.

I think there is a little charm in some of the abstract, subjective rulings. Kind of like PI and holding in football. Sport is about entertainment, drama, and tension. And nothing builds tension more than having goals taken away or not really knowing when the match is going to end. According to the stats, Mexico dominated the game...held onto the ball for 75% of the game and pressured the goal much more often. This was a major missed opportunity for Mexico. They have a solid team and get to play at home in an impossible environment.

Lol, it's not even close to half, and many who dont, still like his effectiveness.

Do you even remember where we were? It was a tipping point for the nation, to the place of no return.

I think there is some truth to this...

I say it...then EVERYONE starts saying.

It is the most manipulated sport in the world. Might as well be playing basketball in the driveway with your friends...

"The crack over there is out of bounds, you heard me say that, you were OUT OF BOUNDS! No, not that crack, the bigger crack, next to the thorn bush!!!"
With all the flopping and crying to officials that go on in soccer, I'm surprised Purdue is not a perennial NCAA powerhouse.

Insane match last night! Everyone knew there would be drama and there was. Well officiated and it appears the fans were better behaved than expected (or at least from what the camera showed.)

Now on to the USMNT game today!

"Na Timmy! You're toe was on the line! But since we don't have video replay and this is my driveway, its a 2 point shot. Don't like it? Cry to mommy."

Having one of the most corrupt administration's reach out to influence THE most corrupt sports governing body to pull strings in favor of the US whose population for the most point mocks this sport to begin with is quite the conundrum. I love it!

Belgium did file an appeal (which is weird since the US couldn’t file one) so it’s apparently not a 100% done deal at this point. The FIFA does have precedent for suspending the game ban with other players. Ttump’s involvement is pretty unprecedented though so it’s possible to backfire.
