No risk in playing him. Memphis doesn’t care about games being vacated. That sort of worrying is reserved for blue bloods.
That's some serious change to 'help' out a kid. But a small investment for an AAU coach to get a major coaching gig.Espn reports that the expenses hardaway paid amounted to 11,500$
We know, the injunction made by a local county judge. It's absurd on it's face and won't work. You might wanna hold off on those HA HAs, this fight is far from over:
You don’t think Wiseman knew anything about this? He’s not the victim
I hate to see the kid screwed over, but it isn't fair to let him play for Memphis at this point. I'd be okay with them letting him make his way to Lexington. That seems fair.
Crazy how Memphis stated that Penny gave the Wiseman family $11,500 to offset the moving expenses. The kid would in no way go anywhere else with that much money being given and in turn did create an unfair recruiting advantage. I see no way he get's cleared after this.
He should not be cleared to play at Memphis but ought to be able to immediately transfer & play if it was fair.
How's that number 1 recruiting class looking now?
It’s only right!I hate to see the kid screwed over, but it isn't fair to let him play for Memphis at this point. I'd be okay with them letting him make his way to Lexington. That seems fair.
They didn’t have that kind of money to move back then now all of a sudden he will in order to get eligible smhEspn reports that the expenses hardaway paid amounted to 11,500$
But everyone says Cal cheats. Penny a booster, that's a new one for a HC.BREAKING: Memphis attorney Leslie Ballin says James Wiseman has been ruled ineligible. He says the NCAA determined Penny Hardaway helped Wiseman and his family move to Memphis in high school. They are considering Penny to be a booster. I just found this lol
That amount of money is probably reasonable for moving an entire household. I moved from a two story home four hours away and it cost $12,000 back in 1997.$11,500 is some serious coin for moving. I thought Wiseman grew up around Memphis ? $11,500 would be a fine *** house. Or a year rent on a apartment.
It’s only right!
I remember there's a rumor that Billy Donovan volunteered to move Patrick Patterson and his family to Florida.
You really are a numbskull. Quit embarrassing yourself.
Probably similar to the National Title Penny said he would win. How's that number 1 recruiting class looking now?

Maybe but the difference is this money came directly from his current coach not some random booster.
Surely this isn’t a “pay it back and your eligible” situation.

It was @morgousky , he's been undercover for weeks.By the way does anybody know the whistle blower is on this one?
Yeah, something definitely doesn't add up there.2 story home and 4 hours away. meaning lots of stuff and long distance. Was Wiseman not a Memphis resident ? I would think moving across town (based on how big of a dwelling Wiseman lived in before), would not cost that much. I moved from a 3500 sq. foot house across town here in BG for about $1000.
Key is, was the money ever repaid, whether it be $12,500 or $1250.

Similar to what some of these agents do.The difference is he loaned it to him BEFORE he committed to Memphis, hence the recruiting advantage. Think about it, a guy floats you $12500 , could you even consider signing with another team ? Knowing in your mind, "He gave that kind of coin before i signed to play for him, wonder how much i can get after i sign ?"
Which in turn makes the current coach a booster right?
