A lot of good that does us. It's borderline psychotic that we so closely follow something where the only ultimate happiness and success is determined by so many ridiculous variables.

A missed goaltend call that wasn't reviewable yet by a team that will have their entire season vacated might be the difference between being a 1-seed in Louisville or a 2-seed to Duke, who is the odds-on favorite because of a player most of the world believes was bought and paid for too.

I question this more and more the older I get. I’m not nearly as invested as I used to be. I did watch more games this year. But when we come out looking like crap in the early part of the schedule i start to lose interest. Too many better things to do with those 2 hours than watch bad basketball, bad officiating, listen to bad commentators, in a sport now seemingly heavily slanted in favor of a few teams.

A lot of the attention I do still give is out of habit.

We had bad basketball in the early part of the season when Pitino was here also.

GOT EEEEEEEEEEM!

Good on LSU admin though, didn't think they'd do it.

They don’t give a crap about basketball. That’s why Wade didn’t hesitate going this route with recruiting. Cheat, early and often, then once you’ve established an identity and sent 4-5 guys pro and had some tourney success, pull back and try doing it on the up and up. The only thing wrong with this plan is you can’t get caught.

I still care as much as ever, specifically about Kentucky basketball.

It's my overall investment into the sport itself that is waning fast, and it's a perspective on our wins and losses that I think gives me extra patience.

People made fun of Cal about it, but you could just as easily say we won the LSU game or Seton Hall game. The record doesn't show it, but how much does the record even matter at this point?

With things getting vacated and everyone with a brain being aware that even a lot of the stuff that sticks was fraudulent, it's just hard for me to view losing to Carolina in the tournament as a "failure" or not being a 1-seed as a "disappointment."

To have the ridiculous, corrupt, random regular season that college basketball puts together and then decide it with a single-elimination, randomly assigned tournament played in football stadiums to crown a champion makes me wonder if I'm in my right mind to watch any of this at all. If it weren't essentially a part of my identity, family history and all friendships and relationships, I couldn't justify it.

I don’t understand why LSU is suspending him I just roll with it and see how far it gets you. No matter what you do now the ncaa is going to throw the hammer at you might as well try to win a title who cares if they vacate a title is a title

Basically I think he should just resign. There will be no way he wins any arguments with administration to go back to coaching the team. I would think, at this point, it will just be negotiation of his remaining contract.

If I was LSU I wouldn’t suspend him. I’d ride it out, and even if he puts you on probation, I’d keep him. In the long run it will work out better.

Wiretap Will is highly unlikely to ever coach at another NCAA institution. To continue coaching, he'll need to go the JUCO, NAIA, G-League or like Pitino, the overseas route. You can't be caught on a wiretap saying the things he said and have any hope of keeping your job.
