Cal in their board name?

What makes you think all of these folks dislike Cal?Cal in their board name?

It’s like how Bill Brasky hated Mexicans. And he was half Mexican. And he hated irony.

I agree. Unfortunately some on here feel the need to tar and feather anyone that may question something that CJC does.Because I question Cal doesn't mean that I dislike him . In fact, I love Calipari and I hope he gets us back to the Final 4
These are the folks who love Cal more than the program. They are easy to spot.I agree. Unfortunately some on here feel the need to tar and feather anyone that may question something that CJC does.
No there isn't. I bet there are not 3 fans who would quit following UK and be fans of wherever JC wentThese are the folks who love Cal more than the program. They are easy to spot.
That’s what Rick Pitino thought would happen when he went to UofL but it didn’t happen. I think Cal is perfect for the UK job but if he left for another school no way in hell I would stop being a UK fan.No there isn't. I bet there are not 3 fans who would quit following UK and be fans of wherever JC went
Oh I’m sure they would be UK “fans” but they feel that no one can replace Cal. They believe he is the perfect coach for UK and that we will suffer in his absence. No there isn't. I bet there are not 3 fans who would quit following UK and be fans of wherever JC went
They also would be the same fans who would prefer UKs record over Novas record during Cal’s era because Nova flamed out early many years. This is the tell tell sign. Ask them to go back to 2010 and whether they would prefer UKs results or Novas results. These fans prefer swag more than anything.Oh I’m sure they would be UK “fans” but they feel that no one can replace Cal. They believe he is the perfect coach for UK and that we will suffer in his absence.
I don’t believe there is a perfect coach for UK or any program for that matter.
You’ve said this enough now in enough different threads that I genuinely believe it’s what you think. Rather than a silly pretext used to denigrate the coach. But it appears you won’t follow suit and extend the same grace. Certainly 2 titles are better than 1. That’s like 10th grade math. But surely you can see the appeal in preferring consistent, year after year success? They also would be the same fans who would prefer UKs record over Novas record during Cal’s era because Nova flamed out early many years. So every UK coach after Rupp has been a failure according to you. That’s a ridiculous standard and I wonder why you even bother being a UK fan. They also would be the same fans who would prefer UKs record over Novas record during Cal’s era because Nova flamed out early many years. I’ll put a similar question to you I just put to BoulderCat in another thread. Exaggerated to make the point. 2 teams over the same 10 year period. Team A has 2 titles, but zero tournament wins in the other 8 years. Team B has 1 title, but makes the Final Four the other 9 years. You can’t see how someone might prefer Team B’s record just plainly on the merits, without it being some sort of forced defense of Cal?
You know, every program hangs Final Four banners. Every one.

I question his style and tactics.I agree. Unfortunately some on here feel the need to tar and feather anyone that may question something that CJC does.
Where did I say ALL?What makes you think all of these folks dislike Cal?
Never said All posters with Cal in their name.I think on one occasion I did complain about the offense but would never want anyone but Cal at UK. :100points:[thumb2]
Where did I say ALL?
Can you show me?
Possibly.I’d like a headcount. My guess is the number that hate Cal isn’t as high as it seems. If there were 1,000 of us standing around talking, and a handful were contrarians that way, doing some loud hating, it would be obvious what it was - a small percentage. In a place like this, where it’s just lines of text on a screen, a few can create the impression that they are a big number....
Here is the deal with the coaches- they are the biggest part of the program whether you like it or not, especially in this era.
I mean, if you don't want to say that the coaches are the program, someone is...it isn't a mythological beast. It takes an AD hiring the right coach and the coach performing.
Hall successful. Sutton, train wreck. Pitino was awesome at UK. Tubby had his moments, both good and bad. BCG, train wreck. Cal, awesome. Those are the coaches in my lifetime. Unless we start going into seasons knowing we aren't competing (see many of Tubby years), I'd never want Cal gone. Just like I never wanted Pitino gone.
Cal is a winner, our players are 99% class acts, charitable, successful, media attention to programs all of the above.
Cal is damn good at his job and that is what makes the program a success....so I want the best in the role, to me that is Cal by a long shot.
Look at the attention to the program now in comparison to what it was in '05. It is night and day. Cal has completely rejuvenated our program, it wasn't by happenstance.
Stupidest, baiting post ever. These are the folks who love Cal more than the program. They are easy to spot.
