Heres my Big Red Old Fashioned
2 ice cubes in a short pint glass
1 sugar cube
5 dashes Bitters
Bourbon to fill 3/4 the glass
1 cherry

Stir the drink to make sure everything mixes up.

Otherwise...

1 ice cube under enough bourbon for a small pint glass.
1 drip of honey.
As much bourbon as needed.

I had a (Centenario) margarita for lunch, instead of the usual mezcal-rita. They are not stocking the affordable good mezcal at the liquor store, so I had to go back to searching for an acceptable affordable tequila. I'm sure in the end I'll just end up spending the extra $ for good Herradura again. $$$$$$$$$
