Oh did your lil heart get hurt by that? Poor thing
Lol that doesn't even make sense. Hurt by you spreading misinformation that Donovan was fired? No, I wasn't hurt, but it is annoying when idiots like yourself spread misinformation and people lap it up. Again, you made yourself look like an idiot and double downed on it.

lol ok that's a weird mindset to have on a message board
"just let it play out"
so why do you even post here?
I'm still posting my opinions, I'm just not pissing my pants on here daily, like so many are.

But my point is, the posters that are getting incredibly upset at every recruiting miss, are the same dudes that are praying that Mark Pope gets fired tomorrow.

Think about that. Mark Pope isn't getting fired if he lands all these great players.

If he gets a decent team, he could get to a sweet 16 and that is the worst case scenario.

The last thing we want, is for Pope to do just enough to keep his job. THAT's what I'm talking about.

Yeah aight bub…tells me you didn’t watch games
Also, Kam Williams was not "catching fire". He hit 8 3's against a D2 school. Followed that up with 1-4 from 3 against Alabama, 2-7 against Missouri, 2-3 against MSU, 1-3 against LSU, 0-2 against UT, and 1-2 against Texas. So in 6 games after the Bellarmine game. Kam went 7-21 for 33%. The revisionism on the injuries is hilarious.

BCG could actually recruit. Either way, it's between Pope or BCG on who is the worst coach in history. We know you're a Pope fan. You say you are aren't, but you literally defend him like he's a family member. Thank God pussies like yourself haven't been running the program for most of our history.
You're a f*cking moron. That's it, that's the only explanation. I literally said, IN ALL CAPS, that I'm not a Pope fan and you still can't figute it out.

I started a thread just last week, asking who the Mark Pope fans are. After 6 pages, only 2 guys said they were Pope fans.

In your idiotic world, if you aren't whining and crying on here daily, you must be a Mark Pope fan.

The stupidity on this board, is as thick as cold peanit butter.

That could be because he keeps going to smaller schools.
Good point, but also consider, the smaller schools give you an opportunity to develop and gain confidence. That was a reason mid majors were so dangerous before the portal came into existence. He actually looks like he has more mobility than either of last year‘s power forwards.

TBF...that's considerably higher than our nepotism 800+ scholly we just gave out.

Imagine a world where Williams (not Kam, the other one), McBride, Dynes, Noah, nepotism Hawthorne, and Potter are all on a UK roster. Spare me the 13th and 15th man crap @MegaBlue05 . That's six dudes. Only leaves nine other spots. For which we already have five other guys, and I'd say three of them are still pretty big question marks as to what they can produce (Kam, Hawthorne, Wilkins).
Why does anyone have to "spare you" anything. There are no more walk-ons! So there will be end of the bench players for mop up time and practice bodies! I understand that your narrative needs everyone to believe that every name currently on the roster are players Pope intends to give considerable PT to. But that's not going to be the case.

Now seeing that McBride may be visiting today? I know he changed to Wed. But saw Fri this am. **** show.

Would be nice to see some flashy names pop up as soon as yesterday.

Okay...don't spare anything. I listed six names that shouldn't be on the floor in a competitive high level collegiate game. Three more are pretty big question marks given the role they're going to have to fill (at least currently). Then there's Diallo and Moreno. I think you can math that out. That leaves four spots. Those better be some good ones, because for every player that isn't that slides one of those bottom six up a spot.

(Yes, I know the two visiting Friday haven't been signed yet)

No, you might want to realize that BCG was recruiting Zollo and Euton to be starters, Pope obviously isn't recruiting these guys to be starters. If he does, then you should be happy, because he will be fired.
BCG landed Liggins, Orton, Patrick Patterson, all 5 stars. As well as Darrius Miller, who was a high 4 star. Mark Pope has never landed someone as highly ranked as Patterson.

Dynes averaged 2ppg, and everyone comparing McBride to Alamanor, whom IMO was a total bust, he averaged 5ppg and was absolutely invisible during most games.
A lot of big name schools are looking at Dynes, or maybe that was initial interest. The guy moves well for 7’5 and unlike our bigs he dunks the ball everytime

Mark pope should have hired a gm but I don't agree with the ones (see above) who gotta call names or bash freshmen on welcome post. That's why I think I'm seen to be pro pope, I'm just not pro douche. Losing freeman sucks when you had rancik.

Played in the OVC. Coach a HS in the largest classification in MO. 20+ years now. Makes me feel old just typing that. Somehow I became the old guy on the bench.
I've never seen a coach, or player critisize other coaches and players, because they know how hard this is.

Dynes has one more year of eligibility to use. Kentucky isn’t his only visit, either. The likes of Kansas, Louisville, Xavier, NC State, and Georgia are also in the mix. On3 ranks him as the 152nd-best overall player and the 17th-best center to enter the portal this offseason.

I’m sure if he goes to one of these other schools, the same people on here who bash him will be crying.

I won't. Averaged 2 points in 11 minutes per game and 35% from the line. He's trash.

1000001154.png I get about being nervous or mad over them not getting freeman. Just the whole name calling and calling out players, over and over is over the top. Sounding like brats who don't get their way. Reminds me of the kid in Billy Madison screaming kangaroo song. There is way to criticize without name calling or saying stuff like to Hawthornes brother.

And still went to the NIT and still lost at home to Gardner Webb by 16. Lost to San Diego in Rupp, lost to VMI in Rupp, got an 11 seed in the NCAAT and lost immediately. Our SOS that year, was 42nd. He went 18-13. Didn't win a single SECT game.

That team had Bradley (Sr), Crawford (Sr), Patterson, Meeks, Stevenson, Harris and Derrick Jasper. The SEC was straight *** that year and he still sucked.

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE. That was actually Billy's best year at UK.

In 2008/09:
-He went 22-14 against the 66th ranked SOS.
-Lost to VMI at home… VMI
-Lost 7 home games (one was in Memorial)
-Went to the NIT

In what world is this even a competition?
1) Mark Pope never lost to mid majors at home.
2) Mark Pope has 3 tournament wins, BCG has zero while at UK
3) Mark Pope's worst NCAAT seed is a 7, BCG's best NCAAT seed, is 11.
4) Mark Pope never went to the NIT while at UK
5) Mark Pope played the #3 SOS in 2024/25, had a final ranking of 12th
6) Mark Pope played the 4th toughest SOS this year
7) BCG's best win, might be @ Tennessee (Meeks 54), but UT was unranked. That wouldn't even make Pope's top 10 best wins at UK.

Mark Pope dealt with injuries both years, BCG had 1 injury, Derrick Jasper.

How is this even close? It's not. Anyone thinking Mark Pope is anywhere near as bad as BCG, is going off their bad agenda. It's a horrid take.

I agree, Pope is not UK caliber, but lets stop being silly.

Tennessee and Texas. He got hurt in the Texas game, but he was a lot more assertive in both those games.
At his size and length, he was a matchup problem in both those games.
No, his numbers aren't great, but if you watched those games and didn't see a different Kam Williams, then I can't help you. He was starting to turn a corner.
I agree. The best thing about Kam's play before the injury was that he looked more at ease on the court. His confidence was better and better. I look for him to be much improved this year. Not a star but an important contributor.

You left off Jodie Meeks from the injury list for year 1 under BCG. And PPat went down for the end of the year too
