Rumor is we’re hiring Jamal Crawford as an assistant coach. While it would be a really good hire if it happens, this tweet is insanely dramatic lol.

If so this is a boss move by Pope. Although I feel like this is a joke. People will see the (proven coach) thing is bs. Get a legend like Crawford on staff as a recruiter and get a ball team.
Yes J Crawford is a legend to the younger generation not only for his game. But his off the court respect and swag. We need someone (cool) ASAP !

Man I agree. I hope it has something to do with Stokes. But J Crawford is like Allen Iverson light when it comes to influence. He's always been that guy. I would love to have someone like him over the coach that just left us.

If they opened up coaching to those without degrees the whole UNC fake degree program would now be meaningless. I don't think the NCAA would allow that!
I know it’s dumb but it’s always been a thing. I remember Steve Masiello had to finish his degree from UK to keep his job at Manhattan years ago.

Since the athletic department is now a LLC the former rule about degrees may not apply.

I have zero faith in getting players by this coaching staff, nor do I think that Jamal Crawford would want to be an assistant under Pope.
