All they had to do was have either the qb or the punter run to back of end zone and take a safety. Literally all they had to do.
So you're saying that the QB waited until there were 7 seconds on the clock so fix a game? He better be glad his own team didn't recover the fumble or those gamblers would have been looking for him.I have never been sold on the fix games and gambling theories but that play sure fits the mode of some hanky panky.
