If the offense, especially the passing game, gets stuck in neutral early on .... the crowd that's had all morning and day to lubricate will be more likely to let their boo birds out of their cages.
Gronowski and the receivers need to get it cranked up ASAP. Not only to keep the boos silent, but also because they need to get it working if they want to play ~.500 (or better) ball in the B1G.

I flipped over right before half. Ak St let ISU go down the field in like 3 plays. Interesting what you can do with a passing game.
Is there a reason people are clogging an Iowa game thread with ISU/Ark St updates instead of not making a dedicated thread and then posting them to that thread instead?
Only speaking for myself, but the Iowa/ISU game is waaaaay in the rear view mirror now.

As I posted earlier, it just show the worth of pre season rankings. Other the the top 6-8 teams which everybody could pick most years, they are meaningless until Oct.
I can see us running up the score via the ground game dominating a massively overmatched umass defense. And when we do, it tells us ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. It was embarrassing having to “wear down” the Albany defense to finally start to pull away. I have a hunch we’ll do better than that tonight but still give us zero confidence we can do that against a team with a pulse.
Extremely on-point post. YAY…Iowa scores monumental victory against…(checks note)…UMASS…to earn Ferentz the all time win record. Why does that actually seem fitting…?
