******Umass vs Iowa Game Thread******

This has the makings of a classic pillow fight. Two awful offensive teams trying to move the ball. Umass comes to Kinnick averaging 4 times the passing yards as the Hawkeyes but half the rushing yards. Both are ranked near the bottom of total offense.

The difference is on the defensive side where the hawks are ranked top 30 in about every category. Umass gives up 290 yards of passing a game, so I expect Iowa to break a hundred tonight.

I’m thinking 34-7 hawks in an ugly game and all of the college kids are gone by 4th qtr. Kirk gets emotional breaking the big ten wins record and goes out tonight for a double scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Just another drubbing of an inferior team. 300+ yards on the ground. A few passes mixed in. Kirk gets his record. Hawk fans relax until next week when we all stress out again, wondering if our QB can connect with our receivers. GO HAWKS!

THANK YOU for starting the REAL official game thread. Maybe that imposter that was usurping you will stop now.

I will be disappointed if emphasis is not placed on the passing game tonight. This is the Hawks biggest weakness and today is the last chance to work on it before the conference starts.

There is no reason to go “vanilla” or “not show” the full offense. On the contrary….its time to give Rutgers something to think about.

At one point last night Indiana State had MINUS 2 yards total offense when IU had racked up 532 yds total offense.

Indiana State finished the game with 77 yds of offense; IU finished with 680 in the 73-0 rout.

46,219 was the announced attendance (total tickets sold & distributed).

Actual butts in the seats (ie, scanned tickets)? A lot less.

K-State (1-3) was ranked preseason #17 by the AP. They now have losses to Clown U, Army & Arizona.

Clown U was preseason AP #22; now they are ranked #14.

If Clown U is #14 in the country, IOWA can't be too far behind.

this Iowa team , if they did rank them... would have to be in the 80's or 90's somewhere , and I do not mean the decade!!

My guess is no field goal makes today and our defense sleepwalking for a few possessions, and we win a fart noise of a game, 35-10.

Can't remember the last time I was this lethargic about an Iowa game. Took most of the week off from posting and I've hardly watched any podcasts. After everything I've seen the past two weeks, there just isn't that much to look forward to.

I still have hope but they keep dropping games my hope turns into poop 💩… I do love KF but the game is/has passed him by … will see though we have 10 games left it ain’t looking pretty but Iowa is know to get better as the season goes on… let’s hope for that at least
