I suspect you’re right. Had our best player who missed the whole season been able to play, I might argue the point. But without him and the multiple players out of position in his absence, we finished about where we should have.
Similar situation this year in one way. The guys playing qb are normally in other positions and the ripple effect is hurting us. Hopefully one of those guys will develop the way Luckey did, but we’ll have to wait and see.
I’m not one of those who always think my team is the best there ever was. There isn’t a team in this state that is unbeatable. Injuries, suspensions, excessive errors or pure arrogance can bring down the best.
