Donald Trump has been known for racist ideology and behavior since his days as a private citizen: housing discrimination, the Central Park 5, the birther conspiracy, immigration rhetoric, slandering & dismantling DEI, increased hate crimes against BIPOC and other historically marginalized communities. There are reasons. I'll ask again: what's the evidence of racism against Biden?

As Kamala astutely pointed out during the Primaries, opposition to federal busing, and even worse spearheading legislation in 94 that led to mass incarceration of African American disproportionately, even worse than the status quo. Had to do with disparate sentencing of crack possession as opposed to powder cocaine iirc. Many leading civil rights advocates at the time thought that the distinction was a dog whistle of sorts since crack was attached to Black violence of the time and white doctors strung out on powder seldom robbed liquor stores, but that perception that he was a racist in some quarters lingered until things were smoothed over for the sake of the party in 08.
