The offsides call in soccer is the worst rule in any major sport imo. Get rid of that one and scoring gets more frequent.

I have 2 co-ed softball games tonight in Chickasha OK. Hope they come motivated this week.
Bob Gibson was known for his motivation to win. At the end of his career when he was washed up, a mediocre player homered off him. He never faced that hitter again till an old timers game years later. He hit him in the back with the first pitch. Not a ha ha that is funny pitch, a real pay back pitch.

Hello All,

Busy at it today again but it was My Darlings turn for medical appointments. I think we finished all we needed to do for a bit though... Want to know my work "To do list" the rest of this week??? I cut my youngests back yard after My Darling's medical appointments and xrays that ended about 1230 today. It had grown real tall so I did it to lessen her worry about her dogs getting snake (Copperhead's so I am told, neighbor who has dogs told my daughter but I have not seen those signs but no issues being cautious.) bit.. (The back is done and trimmed.)

Now all I have to do is install the RO (Reverse Osmosis) systems I bought my two girls for their houses for their coming birthdays (October but they need the systems so...). I hope to have that done by Sunday afternoon... (Bought them the APEC ROE50's.) (The kicker is I have to drill the half inch holes in their countertops. (One Quartz, one granite. I just bought the diamond bits but this will be a first.) (Had a guy quote me two hundred for one...Nah... I have that system in my rental that we lived in, in Lorton.

(HA, my new tenant OVER-paid me. I will get it back to him or he can deduct it next time...)

Our HOA had a 4th party today. My Darling attended and I did too for about twenty minutes, then I snuck out and back home...)

I see the light though and I am thankful!!! Enjoy the rest of your day(s)

Md, bad news. The Brass A$$ in Newport is permanently closing. Horrors! Have to find a new strip joint. Any suggestions?
VH -- End of an era. Or error. I wish I could say I did not know that establishment of which you speak. But I had more than my share of experiences at the Brass *** back in the 1970s. The older brother of my best friend in high school was some sort of fixer or hanger-on for the half-assed gangsters that ran those Newport clubs back in the 70s, so I was there pretty often, which would have disgraced by parents.

As for a new place to hang out, I have to confess that my days in Nudie bars are many, many decades in the past.

Good morning everyone.

It's good to catch up here. Sorry to hear about your Mom @KFuqua

Dad and I had a pretty good trip to the lake despite the heat. He goes down a bit now almost each time I see him. We did catch some fish but nothing to get too excited about. First morning out we caught 8 different species of fish while trolling. We don't cast much anymore. I got a lot of work done as well.

As for daytime coons.... it's not the norm but it's also not uncommon. I wouldn't run into the house because of one but I wouldn't try to pet it either. Surprisingly we saw lots of deer and other wildlife out in the middle of the day while at the lake. I

My wife called while I was making the 3 hour drive home Wednesday. My brother and his wife are stopping by for a visit this morning. Sooooo, I had to hit the ground ru..., weedeating. I've spent about 8 hours mowing and weedeating my hillsides in the heat since making it home. I survived.

Enjoy your July 4th weekend!

Morning D-Leaguers!

Hot days ahead. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Won both games last night as the team played well. I still stunk it up at the plate. Trying too hard lately to see if I can get one over the fence. Popping up more because I am putting more effort into my swing without technique. Will have to slow it down a little next week. Oh well, defense was still good for me so... Was asked by a different team last night to play with them on August 2nd at a tournament in Lawton. Turn 69 the day before. I am trying to make it to 70 playing in the regular leagues before hitting the senior's circuit.

Going to walk the monster shortly and then... couch potato day.

You folks enjoy your weekend and God Bless.

Hello All,

I was woke up early by my youngest at just after six. Her car wouldn't start, she was late for work. Then it did start. Oh well, I am thankful. I tried to get angry for not being able to sleep in then I caught myself. (Whew)

Was to be me and My Darling's first day in many weeks that we were not tasked in someway, somewhere...

I just finished a cup of coffee and my devotions. Did I say I am thankful... Many would "love" to have my "troubles"...

Anyway, my scheduled work may push back some, I am trying to figure out my daughters car situation. She has a 2019 Rav4 but it is just not running right... May let her use my wife's Camry for the next couple days so I can check out her car troubles for her though I do not do that as a rule. (She is a nurse and works the 12 hour shifts and works many holidays as well...)

Git-R-Done..... (Yeah, that is my go to...)

You all enjoy this day that I found is many's holiday off. (Always thought you celebrated the 4th on the .....4th...) ;)

Was filling out my water bill numbers for this month so I went out to the front yard to lift the lid off of the area that has the meter to read it. When I went to put my finger in the little hole made for opening the lid, a bunch of tiny spiders (babies) came rushing out. When I opened the lid there where a lot more and webbing covering the entire hole. The mama? Black Widow. I told my wife who hates and has a big fear of spiders. She immediately got up freaking out and got some insect spray and went out to spray all around the outside and inside of the meter area.

Sorry as a former Bug Man it made me laugh.... (Once a bug man, always a bug man....) I did many many spastic spouse treatments for free.... (The little ones like that...) I DO hope you did not suffer a widow bite though... I'd peroxide that area a few times today and let it bubble and fester up like peroxide does... Seriously

Howdy folks. Hot and muggy in the east. I waited a bit long to go on my 4-mile run, and it was already in the mid-80s. Just been lazing around trying to get rehydrated since (we're off today as our 4th holiday.)

Just got a long text from my son. He's out of the fire line of that Ferris Wild Fire, felling trees and helping dig containmnet ditches. Their just sleeping in tents and getting back to it at first light. He'll have some stories to tell whenever we all can get together, probably not til the fall.

Mine would have done the same, but she would have made me do the spraying.

I don't even know what this means. There's a transmitter attached to the top of our meter cover & data goes wirelessly to water company. No human has read our meter in over a decade.

Pitcher. Been pitching for many, many years now. Most do not want to be that close to the batter, but I wear a helmet with face mask, shin guards and a cup so I am pretty safe and have enough meat on me to protect the other areas.
Back in the late seventies and early eighties, there was a pro softball league. Louisville had a team (KY Bourbon maybe?). Before that they had a national rated amueter team . I think it was Jiffy's or something. I met one of their players as his wife was one of my regular customers. He was a very large man. i forget his name. If interested in slow pitch history, Google Bill Gatti. He is one of the all time greats. He played football at UL, then got into softball.

About 3:30 today it was 99 degrees here in the Berg. My son called (police officer) and told us that if we had anything that would blow away, move it, winds in the southern part of the county were 50 plus miles an hour! By the time we got everything square away the wind hit here, temperatures went from 99 to 75 in 45 minutes, then we heard a loud bang and our power went out, a limb out of a tree broke out a hit the lines and snapped a the pole in half! They are working on it now, maybe back on in a hour or so hopefully!! It is so quiet, like when the ice storm hit a few years ago!
