Bullitt County Kentucky. We're about 25 minutes or so south of Louisville. This is the wettest summer I can ever recall. Usually by now everything is burnt but the rainfall we've had has it green.
I lived in Hardin County more than twenty years. Made my living there in the bug business and real estate (part-time).. I know Lebanon Junction, Shepherdsville, and Mt. Washington very well or used to, in Maryville, I treated all the homes Kenny Senn built in that subdivision (Can't remember the name.) until I sold. (He must be well into his 70's now or 80. (Did work for some other family of his too.) I really liked him and how he did business. I finished the bug business by selling my company.
Knew Jim Lucas of Lucas Insurance in Shepherdsville (Off 44) very well too as well as his family. Actually had a key to his office he gave me. Also knew David Bishop very well (A real estate agent who owned his own company (Bishop Realty). Had a key to his office too.) . Had real good friends and customers there. Also Ed Royalty (Royalty Real Estate) (His office was by the tracks off 44 in Shepherdsville.) was a real good friend, David Harrington, (Harrington Real Estate) in Mt. Washington, (Had keys to all their offices.) They were some seriously good people but they were older than me at the time. I am 65 now.... I don't see any issue with mentioning them... (I did my best to take care of them too.)
Those are just off the top of my head in your area. I had many other great customers and friends. Never felt I was working but I sure did. Crawled bunches and bunches of homes in your area.....
Oh, knew Bo Higdon too (LaBo's in Lebanon Junction) did his work as well. He used to have some players at that place. Had David Allen Coe there and Bo paid him and kicked him out. Stated he was a real...D _ _ _ Many the people I knew and really enjoyed working for them.... (I do not feel anything I said is an issue.) If I had not been gone so long, I wouldn't bring all those names up but did in case you or some here may know of them.... I was younger than most if not all of them by nearing ten years.... Bo fed me a pitcher or two of beer to pay me off for some work I did... (That was before I married.)
I finished my business commitment and started as a contractor on Fort Knox the day before 9/11...
HAHA, since I already wrote this book I figured I'd add a chapter.... My key ring with all those keys also had the keys to eight or ten ponds to where I could go fishing any time I wanted. Took several friends Cat and Bass fishing.... my wife never liked fresh water fish as much so it was just an event to enjoy though I did catch the cats well.... A decent Bass or two too...
