I trust everyone until they give me a reason not to. Fauci has a long track record and has worked for many administrations. He's never had a problem until he ran up against the biggest lying POS ever born. Trump doesn't like the message so it's time to shoot the messenger. You all are willing and loyal recruits and are doing what is asked of you which is character assassinate him everywhere you go. I will vouch for you (and others), you're giving good effort.
The problem is Moe that he has given reason not to trust him. You're just refusing to see it because of your Trump hatred. You see it as a Faucci v. Trump thing and that's not the bigger picture.
You say that you trust him because he's been a doctor a long time (I infer that) and has worked across many administrations. That's fine... many people feel the same. They refer to authority without question.
Suppose you go to the doctor and he tells you you have cancer. You accept it because he's the expert. He then recommends a series of treatments, many of which are harsh and create more hazards on your health.
Only later, do you find out you didn't have cancer at all. The doctor was wrong and the treatments caused irreparable harm. By the time you found out you couldn't trust him its too late. But you instead blame your neighbor who recommended him.
Same here with Faucci. He's not in a position where he can be wrong. Trump can be (and lie about it) because he has no power over the virus. Faucci's been wrong, Trump has both ignored and followed his suggestions, as have the American people.
