Fauci was against masks before he was for masks. Moe lacks the intelligence to understand this simple fact, and is butt hurt as the result.

This is exactly what he does...he is proven wrong...does not admit it...then puts you on ignore...not a good way to live life...

When? in the video?

March 8:
Fauci:
…There’s no reason to be walking around with a mask. When you’re in the middle of an outbreak, wearing a mask might make people feel a little bit better and it might even block a droplet, but it’s not providing the perfect protection that people think that it is. And, often, there are unintended consequences — people keep fiddling with the mask and they keep touching their face.

March 8:

Fauci: Right now in the United States, people should not be walking around with masks.

BTW.....my family members all wear masks and have from day one......but.....Fauci did make the statements.

He also said that it offers "no protection" to individuals and says it only "makes people FEEL safe".
He didn't say that a mask offers "no protection". The other statement was taken out of context and doesn't mean that masks offer no protection.

Who is saying that masks being worn by the general public offer "perfect protection"? No one. I agree with him, they don't and it's not even close. You'd need a PAPR or SCBA for perfect protection.

S L O W Moe continues to divert, deflect, and change the debate because he's lost, and lost badly. Here is what I posted at #21 that has MoeRon's panties in a bunch: "I wear a mask when I'm in stores out of respect for the elderly and unhealthy, but I'm not sure that masks are that effective, and Lord Fauci wasn't in March, either." Tell me where I was wrong.

Tell someone with HIV to poke a hole in a rubber and ask the girl if she feels safe from HIV.

Those are his words. I do agree that there is no "perfect protection".......but that's not the point.

If you passed through or had to go wait in a hospital waiting room full of positive virus patients, would you rather have on one of the generally available public masks or nothing?

This thread is a glaring example as to why nobody takes Moe seriously. It couldn't be any clearer that Fauci didn't think that the general public should be wearing masks in March, and changed his tune later. Game over for Moe.

I would wear a mask......but you wouId just NEVER be able to get into a waiting room full of positive virus patients....impossible.
I know....I just had neck surgery for three vertebrae, carpal tunnel and tennis elbow all on the same day last Thursday.

You can't just pick out a few words and say see there.
I can pick out what he said......and you...of all people..... do it all the time......and yet you claim "out of context"......laughable.

and since we don't know other people's status when we go out in public in close proximity to people, thus mask wearing is being requested/required. good call.

You didn't answer my hypothetical situation. Fact is: I would have LITTLE protection with a stupid porous mask on in a room full of positive cases.

But wouldn't a very smart man like Fauci understand that the beginning of pandemics are the most important times, and if he truly believes NOW that masks work, why didn't he think the best way to prevent spread THEN was to wear a mask?

If social distancing works, why wear a mask? If masks work, why social distance? Why do both? The masks people are wearing won't protect you from this "virus". Look up the micron levels and the protection levels. Not....even....close.

because it “makes people feel safe” when others wear masks so they don’t freak out and go jump off a bridge or hang themselves.

I’ve only worn a mask into the doctor office where it is Required and as soon as he gets in the office, he takes the mask off. Even he doesn’t believe in the ******** masks.

Would be a whole lot better if they would go and jump off a bridge and hang themselves. We'd be back to normal a lot quicker.

Ask him. Perhaps because we were pre-"beginning of pandemics". Obviously asking everyone to wear a mask before many cases had been diagnosed would have been about as popular as asking so many businesses to shut down was. Books will be written about this and I would expect that you will read every one of them based on your interest in the subject matter.

But "preventing" the spread is key, and with such low cases, he should have went on record suggesting that masks would be the way to stop this. That's just logical. Not waiting until there's millions of cases and then saying they work. If they work with millions, they would have most definitely worked with 500 FREAKING CASES in the first weeks of March!!!!!!!

I haven't followed his every word like you so I don't know all of his statements, maybe he did. He didn't wait until there was a million cases and then say they work. Masks and social distancing are helpful, they don't "work". Only a PAPR or SCBA "works". It probably didn't help that Trump wasn't on board with masks, still isn't.

Now Moe shifts to blame Trump for everything!

Americans agree that his response to the virus has been terrible. If the economy didn't suck he wouldn't care at all.

Uh no. You agree and the media try's to make it true. You should wear a mask on fingers so you don't spread the virus from your phone to a laptop to another individual.

The economy sucking has nothing to do with the pandemic does it? What a dumbass the left is.
