This guy is an infamous contrarian. He’s also not a biologist, but a physicist. I would like to see virologist critique his paper.

He has cited numerous other articles that predate Covid which I think gives it some credibility. The mask and social distancing thing is political...with a touch of truth mixed in there.

When discussing topics not in my field of expertise I’m hesitant to make quick agreement with a dissenters opinion. I like to see what team consensus has to say first.

Why don't Repubs believe that people can affect their environment? Repubs struggle to believe that a couple centuries of human pollution couldn't knock the climate out of balance and don't believe that we can have an effect on correcting the situation. Now some Repubs seem to think (or don't care) that we can't reduce the spread of the virus by using social distancing and masks. If you want to get back to normal, you'd think that most would do what's needed but no. Look at us and Brazil where the two leaders have been the most dismissive of the virus have the most new cases though Brazil's are going down and we're the clear leader in new cases in the world having leveled off some at over 60k/day. People need to take personal responsibility or live with the consequences.

Moe is faithfully wearing his mask...the Beckwith pandemic and all.
I went to a store in the big city this morning and did wear mine. Not a lot of cases in Fayette County but more people than ever are wearing them.

Is the IGA still open, or did WM shut it down?
I shop at Kroger and occasionally Walmart so I'm not very familiar with the smaller grocery chains around here. There's a Save a lot or something in Oak Hill and a Piggly Wiggly in Ansted as that chain has tried to move north.

I went to that IGA practically every day of summer.

I went to Kroger on Sunday, and every single person in the store--customers and workers alike--was wearing a mask. So, our positive test rate should decline substantially very soon, right? Because it hasn't as of this morning. I wear a mask when I'm in stores out of respect for the elderly and unhealthy, but I'm not sure that masks are that effective, and Lord Fauci wasn't in March, either.

Early on Fauci was saying that we didn't need to wear them yet. He didn't say we would never need to wear them. Fauci believes that masks reduce the spread. He hasn't changed his stance. If you're trying to say that in early 2020 he didn't believe in their use then I say that you're wrong.

lol thank you. He repeats "right now" twice. Conditions changed and his recommendation changed. Also he said sick people should wear them. It wasn't long after that CDC was recommending them for everyone. Got anything else?

Stop wasting my time, you idiot. I posted "March" in Post No. 21, and just proved that I was right. You're such a delusional imbecile that you refuse to admit when you're obviously wrong, and you couldn't be more wrong about Fauci's thoughts in March 2020, regarding masks. Get a job, any job.

Fauci believes masks are effective contrary to your post 21. He just wasn't recommending that everyone wear them yet as of the 60 minutes interview. Fail.

You fail MoeTard, as I clearly posted what Fauci said in March, then pulled up the video clip, and shoved it up your a$$. Sorry to ruin your day, but you've been proven wrong, and your idol Fauci flip-flops more than John Kerry.

He also said that it offers "no protection" to individuals and says it only "makes people FEEL safe".

How steady was the climb in the beginning? Imagine this, if Fauci believes that masks can help "flatten the curve" then if he would have came out in March and told everyone "wear a mask", then we'd all be safe right now, right? Sooooooooo...........this is all Fauci's fault. Thanks for helping me prove that!

You didn't say that it's Fauci's fault. Why not? If he'd just said "wear the masks" then, we would be already done with this or at least be closer to the end.

And to answer your question: Yes. I'm perfect. So is the wife and kids. Parents too. No masks. No social distancing. Been traveling and doing our normal thing. Been to "hotspots". And just washing our hands regularly after we go in to places and touch things. Imagine that!

You're like Trump always looking for someone to blame. Unfortunately for Trump though his terrible response to the virus (and being an all around terrible POTUS) will cost him the election.
