Beard continuing to not double him is highly questionable.Beard is a fine coach but letting Timme drop 40 on them is questionable. Definitely not a good look.

Amen to that. Never would I root for Duke. Just not in my blood. There is no way i could ever pull for dUKe.
They play the game the way it is supposed to played it , as a team. A lot of people on here are so jealous of them, that they can't see how good the Zags actually are.Thing I like about watching Gonzaga play, they seem to always get the ball to thier shooters in good spots.
Are you sure that Beard is that good of a coach. All I have ever seen him teach his players is to flop, which I guess he learned from duke's coach.Beard is a fine coach but letting Timme drop 40 on them is questionable. Definitely not a good look.
Tough to win the title, man...Especially in a single elimination game. I felt they were better than UNC....but let that one get away. Baylor was just crazy, good---and played exceptionally well.Ooof. Timme is a damn good player though. What was telling though is he was the only one that could hang with those Baylor athletes in the NC game.
Zags are always good. But the question remains. Can they win it all?
I respect what Gonzaga has built as a program. That being said, stay in your lane. UK is old money. Go troll Illinois Chicago’s or Butler’s board. They’re new money like you. They play the game the way it is supposed to played it , as a team. A lot of people on here are so jealous of them, that they can't see how good the Zags actually are.
But all hose teams you listed. Play in a power five conference. And have earned their lumps. Zags play in high schools gyms during conference season.Tough to win the title, man...Especially in a single elimination game. I felt they were better than UNC....but let that one get away. Baylor was just crazy, good---and played exceptionally well.
We all have seen very, very good teams not win the title....or even get to the Final Four.
I do think eventually Few will get his. But this year, man there are some stud teams: Duke, UK, UCLA, Michigan, Purdue, etc, etc......All capable of beating Gonzaga.
I just think its silly questioning a coach over if he's won a title, or not. Calipari has one title....Kevin Ollie has one title----Who would you take as a coach?
Zags are good. I’m sorry. Are they the only ones that play as a team? I’ve seen pretty good team ball so far this year from our group too. Last year sucked. No question. And we’ve had plenty of instances of me ball before. But that’s not why people give the Zags crap. They play the game the way it is supposed to played it , as a team. A lot of people on here are so jealous of them, that they can't see how good the Zags actually are.
Sure bud, if you say so!@PasadenaCat ....
Enjoyed the response to my post----the cute little laughing emoji. Tells me a few things----but one is glaring: You have no idea WTF you are talking about.
This is the reason Beard shouldn't be talking about Askew as the next great point guard. It's clear to those of us who know basketball that Askew isn't that. Beard is just raising expectations too high for Askew. I wish the guy the best but he's not an elite guard. He may have been highly rated out of high school but he is not a 5-star talent. He is a role player for a high major team. We all found that out the hard way last season. He could become a decent rotation player by his senior year.askew in here jacking up bricks
Villanova plays in a watered down Big East....BUt they have won two national titles. You really think the BE is comaparable to the SEC, B10, ACC, etc, etc....?But all hose teams you listed. Play in a power five conference. And have earned their lumps. Zags play in high schools gyms during conference season.
Id have a hell of a lot more respect for them if the moved it even the PAC-12
Its not what I say----its what you have said. You have no idea about anything outside of UK basketball. That is quite evident.Sure bud, if you say so!![]()
Most NCAA wins in that 6 tourney stretch?Since 1999, Gonzaga has went to the SW 16 or better 5 times----as a 4 seed or worse. Four times as a double digit seed...
1999: 10 seed. Elite 8
2000: 10 seed. SW 16
2001: 12 seed. SW 16
2016: 11 Seed. SW 16
2018: 4 seed. SW 16
Not to mention they have not lost in the 1st round since 2008. Whats crazy is during that span they have been a 7 seed or worse, 6 times in that stretch.
In other words, Gonzaga has shown they can advance in the tourney, regardless of their seed.
They are good. Very good. If they played in the SEC, B10, ACC, etc, etc....., they'd still get the high seeds, b/c well, they are very good. Look over the past 6 seasons....Or even this year. Name one team this year in any P5 conference that is better? Maybe UCLA? Maybe Kanasas? Maybe Duke? If so, not by much.
The disrespect they get is silly.
Feel the same about Purdue. My wife is a huge UK fan....her entire family is. So is my brother; lives down the road from Commonwealth. Never had an issue with the Cats. Grew up around them, as much as I did Indiana.Amen to that. Never would I root for Duke. Just not in my blood.
100% man! And yet, here you are arguing with this alleged know-nothing.Its not what I say----its what you have said. You have no idea about anything outside of UK basketball. That is quite evident.
You are mistaken arguing with educating...There's a difference.100% man! And yet, here you are arguing with this alleged know-kothing.![]()
Holy ****! Is the UK job open? What did I miss?Ok, Chris Beard isn’t Bob Knight. Bottom line is the guy can coach and should be considered for the UK job.
Go play in a real conference and get back to us. TrollMost NCAA wins in that 6 tourney stretch?
Gonzaga with 20. Next closest with 17 wins is Villanova.
WCC currently #7 (out of 32 D1 conferences). WCC finished #8 last 3 seasons.
Sure too bad Cal and the Wildcats won’t schedule the Zags in OOC like Duke, Kansas, UNC, Baylor (and Iowa) etc does.
If you're educating, you might try learning the difference in tense. There's a difference. You are mistaken arguing with educating...There's a difference.
Yes. BUT, in 2017, they were playing for our national title. We had that title stolen from us. Cal will forever get a pass from me on that season.Haven’t they been to 2 Final Fours since we went to our last one? Must be doing something right.
Always cute when folks resort to this type of responding....Its a tell...As in, damn, he's right, so I'm gonna attack some silly **** instead. If you're educating, you might try learning the difference in tense. There's a difference.![]()
"If" is the problem word for your argument. They never have to prove anything because if doesn't exist. No one believes they aren't a good team. The point is they DO have an easier path to a better seed because of the 20 plus cupcakes free wins they get every year and therefore have an easier path in the tournament. If, if, if you can't at least concede that and then you're not arguing in good faith. The disrespect is fully earned and not silly at all. They should not be handed a one seed in December. How is that fair by any measure?Since 1999, Gonzaga has went to the SW 16 or better 5 times----as a 4 seed or worse. Four times as a double digit seed...
1999: 10 seed. Elite 8

Gonzaga has no choice but to play some real teams ooc if they want to get a high seed. We don't even really need to do that if we take care of business in conference but we still play one of the better ooc schedules in the country. We already play Duke, Kansas, Louisville, Notre Dame, and Ohio State to go with I believe 5 top 25 SEC games (so far). Like I said in another post, win a title and you might get invited to play in the Champions Classic and play us.Most NCAA wins in that 6 tourney stretch?

They’ve never beaten a 1 seed. They haven’t beaten a 2 seed since 2000. They have a losing record against 3 seeds and have only beaten a 3 seed one time. Some juggernaut they are. Not to mention, they always get the easiest of all regions, the West.Since 1999, Gonzaga has went to the SW 16 or better 5 times----as a 4 seed or worse. Four times as a double digit seed...

You have zero clue about basketball, outside of Kentucky. That is very evident.
For years, UK beat up on a football conference. I don't see ya addressing that. Why not?
Is this Mrs. Few?Maybe they get a 1 seed b/c they are, well---good? WCC isn't great---buts its not terrible either. Rated 7th last year, out of 32 conferences.
Do they get an easier path to a top seed due to playing in the WCC? Sure. Are they deserving of such high seeds? Absolutely. And they have shown that. Its not like they are getting bounced early in the NCAAT....Been to 4 Elite 8's and played for 2 national titles in the past 6 full seasons. Seems to me they are proving they are worth the seed(s) they are getting.
Would they be 32-2 every year if they played in the SEC, ACC, etc,etc.....No. Would they compete for a Top 3 seed/conference title? Absolutely.
1996 UK would have taken 2015 UK out to a nice steak dinner and never talked to it again. What's wrong with that is jealousy of Gonzaga. By the way Gonzaga has gone farther in 2 of the last 4 final 4s than Calipari did with the most talented team possibly in the history of college basketball in 2015.
Texas guards look selfish. Constantly looking for their shot before making the obvious pass.
That would be a hell of a game to watch1996 UK would have taken 2015 UK out to a nice steak dinner and never talked to it again.
Also, I’d honestly take 15. At this point the 96 team has gotten pretty old and I’m not sure they’d be able to keep up1996 UK would have taken 2015 UK out to a nice steak dinner and never talked to it again.
Pre AP injury 2015?1996 UK would have taken 2015 UK out to a nice steak dinner and never talked to it again.

I know what you mean he is always showing off.Poor sportsmanshipI wish I could pull for Gonzaga but that Timme is so annoying.
