He did a pretty good job developing players like Jorts, WCS, Ulis, SGA, Nick Richards, Adou Thiero, Willis, PJ Washington, Oscar, Miller, Liggins, and several others.

While I agree many came in with immense talent and lofty projections already, most typically got even better under him, and the ones listed above generally far exceeded expectations. You could even put Booker, Herro and some others is that group as well.

His first team didn't quit. They were heavily injured and at times, outmanned, but they didn't quit.
Last season's team was lesson learned, it was terrible all the way around, but Pope made the most of it. He won more tournament games last year than your "Hall of fame" agent did his last 4 years here.
Is Pope the answer? Probably not, but at least be fair.

Pope has been here 3 years, has had 3 portal and high school recruiting classes and has been a coach for over a decade and is in his 50s and had somehow managed to do worse in the SEC than our former coach who is at Arkansas.

That was his first 8 years as a HC.
