So where do the 2 wins come from?

Hell, I'm not even going to hope to make a bowl game anymore.
edit: can't give up hope, just won't count on going bowling.

I'd love to be wrong, but 2 more wins with this team is going to be a tall order.

Oh well, there's always basketball season.BB is a minor sport however compared to FB. It was invented to give the FB_team something to do during the Winter

Beating Miami in the Pinstripe must have warped everyone's brains into unreasonable expectations. We were LUCKY to have beaten Michigan State and been bowl eligible last year. We made no big moves in the NIL market and still folks were saying we'd be a 10-win team. It was always crazy talk.

Still disappointing that Washington outplayed us and we did not beat Nebraska or UCLA.. but getting hammered by Wisconsin.. even if you thought the CFP and 10-win talk was hogwash.. this is below reasonable expectations at this point.

The key to getting bowl eligible is to score 30+ points against weak teams and hope these teams make a few mistakes.
Our defense is sloppy and hurting physically. The defense needs to have some success and hold teams to less touchdowns.

Rutgers needs to find wins 2 wins. The remaining opponents will have banged up players as well.
I like home games - one win against Minnesota or Illinois. I am circling the MSU game as the second win.

MSU looked improved last night beating Iowa 32-20. Like 6 FGs in the game, think it was a MSU record. Held Kaleb Johnson in check most of the night except 1 big 75yd run or so. It's on the road too. Winnable but I wouldn't count on it for sure.

I think the big thing with MSU is if Chiles makes mistakes or not. If they can avoid most of those, they look solid.

I would say a good 25-33% of the board is rooting to lose out but who knows what will happen

Luckily that doesn't have any effect on the results on the field.

Just like everyone saying UCLA was our easiest conference game had no effect on the results on the field.

Who cares at this point? Another toilet bowl? Eh
I’m with you at this point. 6-6 is still a disappointment and I could care less about playing Buffalo in Detroit on 12/26. That’s the same as no bowl this season. At some point, the bar has to be raised instead of lowered. How many more years of treading water at best?

I was shocked when some people said we would be 10-2. We had a cake schedule. Greg has never won more than three games in the Big. It is so disappointing. I felt five years ago that Greg wasn’t the answer and I still feel that way. I have doubts that we will even win another game this season. I hope I am wrong but this is such a let down season.

So glad you can speak for the kids, you know the ones who actually play the game by saying that if we somehow get to 6-6 after all they went through this season a low tier bowl is the same as no bowl. Disappointed from pre season expectations is more than fair but the season has a life of its own and if the salvage two wins against the odds they have faced that to me would be a positive.

Kids opt out of bowl games left and right nowadays.

I’m not speaking for the kids..lol. I’m providing my personal opinion which is what 90 pct of these posts are. If the “kids” (I’m assuming you mean players) thought this way, what would be the point of any of it?…oh yeah, except that they are getting paid with $ and an education so you would assume they care.

Frankly, unless Rutgers magically finds a pass rush and decent linebacker play I see no more wins on the schedule.
Yes...I'm extremely bummed right now. And I don't hold out much hope for next season either. This team was senior-dominated, Rutgers doesn't seem to have the ability to compete much in the portal, and freshmen don't generally make much of an impact at this level. So where's any reason for optimism about 2025 ?
