This is absolutely wonderful news, absolutely nothing about it is a negative in any way. He’s also that shitbag Justus’ last recruit. It either means:

Wheeler is back
Wagner is reclassifying
TyTy is back
A really good, experienced transfer is coming in
Sharpe will play
Wallace is a sure-fire stud

literally any hypothetical you come up with is better than Clark coming. Just wonderful news!

Likely means Sharpe told him he was gone.
Oh yeah I hear Sharpe is telling everyone his plans. Just ran into Frank at the gas station he said Sharpe was there last week grabbing some sunflower seeds and during the transaction started talking about how he’s out of here.

Well to me it’s amazing none of these so called journalists can get a scoop when Sharpe has been so open about his future to anyone and anything that listens.

Just like that, Clark wasn't that good and scared of competition.
Last week, Clark was a superstar for next year!

🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
He was never gonna be a superstar, in fact, RalphDalton said the contrary, that he was in fact overrated and not UK material at all, and he's said that for well over a year now. This kid was Askew-esque.

Is he supposed to be here forever or something? It's been 12 seasons already. He isn't getting any younger and he has insinuated multiple times now about nearing the end. Perhaps he is ready to retire or take another crack in the NBA. Not saying he is leaving, hust that it's always a possibility.
He’s no longer being pursued by the NBA and there’s no way he’s gonna retire when he’s still owed over $60 million on his contract here. He’s not going anywhere.

Sharpe and Wheeler would have limited Skyy's chances to play much as a frosh so it's probably a good move for all concerned. And yeah Sharpe will be here next year IMO. Even if he's not Clark would have a lot of guys in front of him for guard minutes.

Yes but that doesn't make me correct/incorrect. Clark controls the outcome like any/every player. Thing is, the guy I know and those he knows and communicate with the Staff didn't like what they saw and encouraged UK to look elsewhere. I believe this separation would've taken place around Peach Jam if not for Clark's injury.

Very encouraged by what I've seen from new staff in terms of direction of program and recruiting evaluations. It's about fit and how you receive coaching to play at UK/for Cal and this would've been a transfer waiting to happen.

Why so many jumping to conclusions it means something bad about Sharpe or Cal or anything?

None of the beat and recruiting writers seem too worried about it. If they aren't I'm not.
Cal ain’t leaving. Shadow probabky is . We will replace Clark with someone better. And he knows that. Which is why he decommitted

Playing at a school like Kentucky is a privilege, however some don't want to wait their turn. Evidently, he has his own doubts about playing time and Kentucky is about team play more so than I and me. I'm sure he will be a good player for somebody else but Kentucky goes on. Cal has seen how much easier it is coaching upperclassmen and the team has responded in a way Cal thought it would. From here on out I think every class will be a mixture of veterans and freshman, it will extend his coaching career no doubt.

Skyy is ranked No. 35, No. 27, and No. 25 in the 2022 class by ESPN, 247, and Rivals, respectively. I'd guess that he just recognized that he was going to be out of his depth. Maybe because Wheeler is coming back ... but maybe more generally.

Just MHO, of course. Go 'Cats !

Any idea @ralphdaltonfan how the Cats finish out the class? Any guesses who will be out starting 5 next season?

There have been/will continue to be several options for Kentucky. Things have been kept quiet with new staff unlike that jackass who now resides in the Desert who loved to flap his gums. Things don't get mentioned and are going on. Can now share a story I got from a media friend privately who isn't connected to my friend. Said someone mentioned Skyy Clark to Coach O at the Peach Jam and the look he got back from him made him think Clark wasn't going to end up at Kentucky.

Some of the crap that Clark's family was pulling was absurd. Prior to committing and after he did. Delusional. It would've been a complete ****show.

One thing to pay attention to with recruiting/player evals....when a top player is committed to an elite blueblood and not really playing well on the court....many analysts look for something to validate it instead of reporting the truth and using their eyes. They also tend to not watch committed guys as much as those who aren't because it's better for business to provide recruiting updates on the uncommitted. He played poorly and nobody would accept that. Nobody. He didn't. His family wouldn't. His trainers wouldn't. It was always with a "But....or He was banged up...." at some point you have to take the court and perform at a level that justifies your hype. He has played less than 50 competitive games since March 2020. He's at his 4th school in that time frame as well. Things happen but let them happen elsewhere.

Haven't heard anything and likely won't until after the season concludes (hopefully after 4/4).

Focus has seemed to be on '23 guys for now but the coaching carousel will open up and guys will leave and committed guys will get out of LOI's, Portal, etc....

The portal is our friend guys,we are going to be just fine.
Wish the kid the best but it probably was a beneficial move for all involved.

Have you heard anything from your friend on Sharpe staying or going, @ralphdaltonfan ?

I think Skyy seen the writing on the wall
remember he has played against the top players, he knows where his skill level is, whether people around him admit it or not

next year he would be a bench player
if the 23 class turns out like we are all expecting then he will once again be a bench player

Wheeler’s for sure coming back and Cason is arguably the best guard in the class. It’s between him and Dariq. Even if Shaedon doesn’t stay he was never going to get pt. Now If Shaedon does stay he really wasn’t going to get pt lol

Another Joel Justus recruit bites the dust.

No matter what Shaedon Sharpe does-he was never connected to Skyy Clark. Clark was never this "pied piper" recruiter or leader as he/his camp kept putting out there. That was complete BS. Anyone ever notice how the list of players he was trying to "bring with me" changed more than a Dr. Fauci list of how to deal with Covid?

I watched him twice and was not impressed. Not the ultra quick small pg. really couldn’t figure out where he fit in with UK.
It may be UK parted ways with him after realizing how good the portal has been to them. Remember how many pgs we looked at last year before Wheeler. Cal seems enthralled by the maturity of his transfers as are the fans. Probably already has some indications from his many contacts

Sad. Like the kid but he's been very fickle throughout his commitment from the jump. So not shocked. Not gonna slam just gonna say not surprised.
