If it means wheelers back I don’t care.
Interesting.... wonder if it's to do with Wheeler possibly returning or if Cal is possibly leaving.

Surprising to hear this now.. but I remember a lot of us wondered if this might happen at some point anyways.
Skyy would have been a good player for us during the 2015 to 2020 lull. But now with Cals recruiting picking up and transfers, there's going to be better options.

Was there buzz that Skyy and Sharpe were tied? I don't know the back story.
We will be fine. A significant number of contributing players will be back from this years team plus we will have our pick from the transfer portal
Disappointing. I really liked what I saw of Skyy in clips. Looked like a player who’d be really fun to watch.
It’s not because cal is leaving, it’s not because sharpe is staying or going, it’s because he doesn’t want the possible competition at his position. That’s it
There was talk on this board about him being the player that would decommit over the summer . That talk had died down over the season .
Is he supposed to be here forever or something? It's been 12 seasons already. He isn't getting any younger and he has insinuated multiple times now about nearing the end. Perhaps he is ready to retire or take another crack in the NBA. Not saying he is leaving, hust that it's always a possibility.
So now we have one player next year? Or 2? Hope Oscar and Wheeler and toppin are back along with our bench and a key transfer or 2.
I'm curious why they're tied together...seems like sharpe leaving would mean more potential minutes for skyy

Of course he isn't supposed to be here forever. But there's been zero indication of him leaving and I'm unsure why a player decommitting would mean that. I think that's a bit of a leap.
We went from being the program that could get anything but wings to the program that mostly only gets wings.
This is the same every year. The roster in today's college game is going to be more influx year-to-year than ever. Especially at UK with many high-profile recruits and the tendency to leave for the NBA or transfer.
I am not 100% certain that even Hopkins, Ware or Collins is a lock to be here next year.
Brooks, Toppin and Wheeler all SHOULD return, given their pro prospects, but you never know.

In theory, that's 7 "role" players that are back next season.

I'm actually a little happy.
Seemed like he had the potential to be another Askew, and it sounded like there was a real drop-off after his knee injury.
Wheeler should be back, and then Sharpe, Wallace, and a couple of big time transfers (you know Cal is going to crush the portal again after the success this year).

Ty Ty gone Mintz and Grady gone. Sharpe Allen Wheeler all question marks going to have to hit the portal hard.
Exactly can’t say Wheeler is all we have when Cason Wallace is the best guard we are getting from the class.

Losing Clark is not that big of a loss. He get very limited mins of Wheeler comes back and along with Wallace and Frederick and whatever transfers we get.
Hang #9 and ride off into the sunset, I’d take that
So is Clark imo. Maybe even more so than Wallace. Especially after his injury.
Wheeler, Fredrick, Wallace and Livingston is a nice backcourt. We will likely need to go after a reliable transfer. Our frontcourt could potentially all be back if no one transfers and Oscar stays.
