Quick tech for Spencer in his first match

[Boomhawk52]

In the same way that Mesenbrink and Nolf win with "Iowa style"?

Love hold pen15 cake

[Boomhawk52]

Ya can't pbp Spencer sometimes. One spot I watched multiple times. He was in and left an arm out and could have been thrown by elite guys.

[Boomhawk52]

James Green was boring but did his job. Keep rolling US

[Boomhawk52]

Haynes last match using folk was cool to see. Love when guys just use a good ol half to pin.

[HollisterHawk]

Spencer looks like he's easing his way into the tournament. Still got the tech lol

[ChicagoHawk2020]

Spencer techs the Iranian. Non stop attacks

[HawkAlum2002]

Little nerve-wracking but tech fall win for Spencer. Iran threw the kitchen sink at him early but he weathered it and just better technically.

Iranian was letting it fly.

[HollisterHawk]

His tempo in the 2nd period was noticeable, right?more aggressive. Looks good

[Boomhawk52]

Dang. That Iranian with the nasty arms throws, dang. Nice job by Spencer. Anyone know that guys accolades? Dangerous sum b. I watched his tech before and I knew he would be a good opponent.

I think he won Asians this year. Lots of techs on his UWW bio

Round of 32 highlights:

[HawkAlum2002]

Haines and Spencer both get head-to-head vs Russia, this is a big round to keep our team title hopes alive.

[Corby2]

1/4 are starting now Lee up in 25 min or so

[Tanner Lafever]

Lee’s Russian QF opponent took 5th in 2021 - getting pinned in the early rounds by Thomas Gilman.

Let’s see if Hawkeye-on-Russian crime repeats itself five years later…

And he has no international results since and is 29 very odd

The Russian 74kg guy is a beast! He ain't messing around out there!

[vhsalum]

Spencer 11-0

Yall thought I was joking

[ChicagoHawk2020]

Spencer Lee dominates the Russian.

[HollisterHawk]

Spencer!!!! He looks sharp!!

[Boomhawk52]

Didn't like that trip after

[Boomhawk52]

Anyone else see that?!

[mrrr320]

Didn't like that trip after

WTF was that. Seemed weird and gimpy but did jog off.

[Boomhawk52]

so weird so fn weird and not his sleeve leg. Not that he has ACL's

[HawkAlum2002]

He just stumbled stepping backwards, don't think it was any big deal. But it's Spencer so we are paranoid to expect the worse.

Same. Just any bad movement is weird to us

He's outscored his opponents 34 - 2 so that was the most exposure he's given up all night haha

Hope you’re right, but be limped immediately after, and beforehand (after getting the tech) was grabbing bis right foot while looking at his corner.

This. I'm going with a trip and he was anxious

[Boomhawk52]

about technique, I love the old school head in the butt leg laces. I think Kevin Jackson was a monster at that. But probably wrong
