Have never seen that before. Didn't know they were using ABS, much less letting it overturn calls. That's wild.
I obviously don't love him diving all over the place in the first damn inning, but I love the mentality. He's the quarterback throwing his body in harms way to show the team he's the leader, he's here for war, get behind me and let's go fight.
I'm guessing most coaching staffs have had talks with their teams about not showing up umps when you get a call overturned.

I don't see why this would be different than any other start. Around 100 pitches.
He should be able to throw about 100. He will get a couple of days extra rest before pitching in the Regional.
We would've won the challenge on strike 1 to Ace. It was 3 inches off the plate, but I guess you don't challenge in that situation.

What I like about him is he didn't quit after he was handed the trophy. He's the same guy every day.
In the photo of him holding the trophy he looked slightly annoyed at having to be there. Like... "Man I gotshit to do and y'all got me in here eating rubber chicken.."
