Agree, he had MTSU playing at a high level for years and kinda got stuck there and overlooked for big P5 jobs. I'm glad for the man (even though I dislike Old Mess).Kermit Davis at Ole miss was a really good hire.
That explains it then. I don't think it should be like that though. Sec teams always go from the bottom of the standings one year to the top 5 the next year. Always have. Except for UK of course.I think the four team not participating are the teams that finished 11th-14th two years ago. They are removed for two years. The last four teams in the conference standings this year will have to set out the next two seasons of the challenge.
They get a lot of cred off of being decent in recent years which is inane?Amazing that Baylor is in a lot of people's brackets when they have 2 very bad home losses. At home to Texas Southern and a very weak for their standings SF Austin team. Those are both quad 4 losses.

Silva isn’t playing in this game! He’s not been cleared! It looks like the refs across the games are letting them play. Hopefully that continues in our game. Hopefully we can get Silva through the first 5 minutes without 2 fouls. Of course that also depends on him not committing more than his usual "what the what" fouls
sec may only win 2 of these games

I bet they do two years so the teams can play one home and one on the road.sec may only win 2 of these games

While I would like most of the SEC teams to win (not Tennessee) I am good with only 2 winning as long as 1 of the 2 is Kentucky.
Oops, I meant to repley to @JustBlue when he said, "I'm not big on it either. MAYBE one year but two seems excessive." and clicked on the wrong post. My bad.Um, what?
Also makes me worry about KU more. Big 12 is a better league. KU plays tough competition almost every conf game.Yet Florida, Ole Miss, etc. will all play like the 1985 Celtics v UK.
Gets old.
