Let's hope it's not a bunch of talk like previous regimes. A QB run game definitely isn't going to be a big part of it regardless of what's been said.EJ is definitely solid. Not elite right now, but solid. We can win games with EJ for sure, if they just stick with him.
There has not been any sign of portal activity for RBs. Holgerson likes EJ and they also are bullish on Ives. They also like the incoming freshman. Another defensive tackle would be nice.

And where has anything been said about a QB run game? They didn’t recruit DR to start running the option.
What has been said is DR needs to learn when it’s time to take the yardage in front of him, esp. when that yardage moves the chains. I suppose technically that is a QB run game, but it sure isn’t the Martinez boys. Not even Joe Ganz.
100%. Not sure how anyone could interpret that as the coaches saying the QB run game is going to be part of the offense.
Why in the world does he keep listing Corc over Luto at the other OG spot? There is just no way.
If Corcoran gets (is?) healthy, he is a valuable depth piece, as he could play either tackle or guard, depending on need. There was talk over the years about him and Center, but NU was never able to get enough OTs during his time.
Knowing the ball is placed at the slide and not where you end up and being aware of the damn chains. 3rd down - take a hit if it means being a yard passed the chains. Cannot have drives end on a slide … period.
I think it's also hard for young qbs to understand that by scrambling, you have some control over the hit you will take. Versus hanging in the pocket too long and taking a shot that you have little to no control over.
