How many times have you heard over the years about pound the rock or run the damn ball? Alot. Where did I say that Raiola was going to run the option. Any QB run game is better than what we had last year.
No Iowa?
When was the last time Iowa ever attempted to be better than runner-up to something? 1899?
Who knows. He better be if they paid him to come here. He was going to be a backup for Notre Lame.
Spindler started 13 games at guard this season for a team that made the CFP finals and 23 games in total. I understand ND likes their young guy on the OL, but I really doubt this guy would be supplanted had he chosen to stay. He was pretty much looking at B1G teams while in the portal, maybe he is interested in showing NFL guys what he can do in that league.
he had lost his starting job and regained it due to injury. Not unhappy with picking him up though. His experience is a big deal.
He isnāt coming here to be a backup. And we did not cough up big bucks for him to sit on the bench. He may have been in threat of being displaced as a starter at ND due to their young talent. We have no such all american young talent. I am constantly amazed at the number of posters on this board who have a grossly inflated sense of the quality of our offensive line roster.
He started 23 games the last two years at ND. We should be ecstatic to land him.

We just added 4 pretty good teams to the conference. Going to make it even tougher to get on an all conference team. This isnāt the old Big8.
Iām hoping and praying Parker (or another young back) can become our every down back and EJ can become or change of pace/3rd down back. Donāt get me wrong, I really like EJ, but he just not elite. Maybe he can get there? I kinda think heās not quite big enough and not quite fast enough to be āeliteā. Looks like heāll have next year to prove me wrongā¦
I think he is good, not great, but actually produces when given an opportunity. I feel good about him starting. If Parker is good enough to overtake him, all the better.
Yeah I know but I was talking about through the portal. Hopefully Parker is the real deal but only time will tell. We need a proven right now type of back to share the load with EJ.
Still cracks me up every time I see this. The level of long-term ineptitude that Nebraska OL had sunk to is astounding. Hopefully, we are on the right track trending back up. Just need to do a little more work cleaning out the stable by encouraging a couple of guys to move on with their lives.
