Full course registration deadline is tomorrow. So, get him N and sign him up.Temps in the 50's. Can't expect nicer weather in January for scoping out campus & the community.

I'm just guessing and have absolutely no idea but I'd think:
1. Money.
2. Fit. Maybe he felt he was gonna be passed over or was suggested he move on.
3. Maybe he just doesn't like it there, and wants to see what else is available.
Three of Notre Dame's starting OL have entered the transfer portal this week. They must not like the OL Coach or something.
This. Ok not thinking we land him cuz why would he come here? The beaches, the academic prestige? Have to think just as much NIL at other schools with a more recent history of success.
He's a grad student. Maybe we offer something that ND doesn't. Maybe he wants to try something new and knows that he would be a guaranteed starter here.

couldn't happen to a better program. The world will be right when ND is back to mediocre.
I think ND lost 4 OL to the portal, so if something is off, it’s the ND line coach or something … maybe low NIL money
It’s posted that Michigan is in it too? Is that even possible with UM starting the semester back on January 8?
I mean they performed pretty well throughout the playoffs. It's not like they were hurting there either.
The key to me is that he's a graduate. He got his degree from Notre Dame. Now is the time to put his name out there and see what happens. If he can go experience what it's like in a different program, play some football against some different competition and make well into six figures, why not? But at the same time, seems like there not a strong pull to stay at Notre Dame either.
I heard they are and that he is from Michigan and they were his second choice out of HS.
I don't know anything, but when he announced entering the portal, the article I saw stated ND is absolutely loaded on the OL and playing time will be hard to come by next year.
Possibly. But Man this dude played every offensive snap (63 ) in the Championship game. They must be loaded.
It looks like tomorrow is the deadline to register for classes this semester at both Nebraska and Michigan.

Strange, doesn’t seem normal for the NC runner up to lose 3 OL unless… They know their coach is leaving? Locker room and/or relationship issues with their OL coach? Or money possibly. The last seems unlikely, one would think ND collective(s) would have plenty to money to keep players they value. But yeah, 3 players off of the O-line kinda makes one raise their eyebrows…
So, IF, ND is loaded at OL as some have stated, losing 3 to the portal is not a big deal. Are the ones leaving upper or lower classmen?

Just checked ND roster. They're showing 18 OL and Rocco still listed. Not sure about the other 2 portals. They're also showing 20 DL
We on the other hand have 28 DBs and 20 WRs while desperately trying to add to on both sides of the trenches
