That is a fair comparison in that both can get to any spot on the floor when they want. Ulis was so small that his center of gravity was really low, so even harder for defenders to get to the ball. I compare RD to Jason Williams from Florida as far as flair. About every 5 minutes there is a holy sh** moment where you look at the guy next to you and ask if he saw that. He'll have a ton of highlight moments. Not to say RD is perfect, I saw several times where he would dribble into double teams and was not always able to get out of them. But that is the thing though, teams will have to throw a second player or shade him to slow RD down, so it is up to our coaches/players to take advantage of that. I've seen people point out his low weight, and while I agree he needs to get stronger, he doesn't play as if it is a problem. Many times he would drive against bigger players, double teams, etc, and it did not phase him. The main thing teams were trying to do was cut off his dribbling and penetration and it was almost impossible to do.
thank you

The last time Calipari winked at the fan base, it was right after Sharpe committed. No one cares as much as we used when a high-level kid commits because Sharpe showed us it doesn't matter.

Wink after a title, coach.

Lots of us care. Please stop speaking for the fanbase. You are FAR from it. Most are not miserable, not even close (unless they read some of the garbage here).

Add Jackson at the 3rd guard/SF at 6'6"-6'7" and it's easily the best under Calipari and probably the best in the country.
Easily or add the Taylor kid that Tennessee and Kentucky are after and that is the type of team cal usually has success with add a shot blocker and he is set

It is. Younger than me and my son's when we started or will start college, all 3 turning 18 early 1st semester. When you consider some FR are 19, maybe even turning 20 before end of 2nd semester.
I turned 18 end of December my frosh year

G Dillingham
G Wagner
G Jackson

That would be one deadly backcourt. And right now, it seems very possible.

G An Harrison (2013 #5)
G Aa Harrison (2013 #6)
G Young (2013 #9)

Is pretty close to

G Dillingham (2023 #7)
G Wagner (2023 #1)
G Jackson (2024 #2)

or

G Fox (2016 #6)
G Monk (2016 #11)
SO G Briscoe (2015 #12)

Dillingham/Wagner/Jackson, with three top 7 players, trumps the others. At least on paper.

Completely agree. I just wanted to compare really. I’m curious to see where Jackson falls out if he reclassifies too. Murray and Sharpe didn’t drop much at all when they reclassified.

Who’s impressed you @ralphdaltonfan ?

I might have missed it if you already said.
Ian Jackson would be my #1 recruit in '23 or '24. Love what Ron Holland is doing on 17U team and finding out he just turns 17 this week--lot of upside there and Dillingham is type who is a warrior on the court. Like both bigs they are involved with (Bradshaw/Kingsley) and really the only guy where I have 0 feel for UK's standing that I like a lot is Xavier Booker.

Goodness bless your little heart. We've had 1 player do this in his 13 years here and you think it should ruin the expectations for every recruit. Your just looking for reasons to create Drama.

Wagner and dillingham would be about as good a offensive backcourt as you can have in college
Would that be Cal’s best backcourt duo ever at Kentucky? Right now I put the top 3 as Fox and Monk, Wall and Bledsoe, and Ulis and Murray. I put that in no particular order. That’s up for debate on who’s the best out of those 3… numbers wise I’d honestly say Ulis and Murray (too bad the front court was awful that year). But talent wise they’re probably 3rd on that list.
But Wagner and Dillingham would absolutely rival all of those . Would be very exciting

The Ulis/Murray backcourt was basically the perfect college backcourt, just a shame they didn’t have enough around em to win it all.

I’d say we would have to wait and see on court production before making that leap. I think we should all be done crowning anyone until we see them do it on a college floor IMO. Those other 3 backcourts you mentioned were absolutely elite.

Very true. What a disappointment Skal was. Poythress was decent. But not good enough to be our best front court player. And Marcus Lee was only ok. He never really developed the skill we needed from him

Oh for sure. From a recruiting ranking standpoint alone, these two would be the best. But yes, let’s see how they play out. Hopefully we can actually get Wagner

I get it. I’m just saying after guys like Boston, Sharpe (lol) etc … I just like to see these dudes show out on a college court . The 3 backcourts you mentioned deserve all the love they get for sure. If Dillingham and Wagner were that good, then LFG.
I don’t think we get both, though.

Very true. Well we have 1 already. Sure hope we can pull in Wagner. But I’m not so sure we will
