What a complete retard SJW he is.
The Husch Blackwell report will always be a stain on KF’s record but the administration has moved on and to his credit, Ferentz acknowledged and accepted the findings. It’s time to put that episode into the context of the much larger positive contributions he has made to the University.

And this is the image of Kirk that pops up in the story.

Kirk Ferentz should never be compared to Joe Paterno.

Kirk Ferentz is not a racist.

But that jack @$$ does and implies both, writing this:

Sports fans overlook a lot when cheering on their favorite coaches and players. It explains Joe Paterno, Urban Meyer, Bob Knight and others still being viewed in a positive light.

Ferentz ran a racist program. After an internal report found racial bias, former players felt not enough was done in response to those findings. They spoke out. An external report confirmed the charge. Bullying also was discovered. Student-athletes then added more details and context to the Iowa Football culture. A group of them won a $4 million settlement from the university.

...consider stopping short of calling him a great man, which often gets attached to these achievements even when history says otherwise. A great man doesn’t allow racism in his program or hand out an award [to Chris Doyle] after players are hospitalized.

I didn't see how slithering around the sideline the last game or two post game. They still let him in? He looks like the friggin' unabomber when they yanked him out of the cabin.

How much did the school payout for Rhabdo? I thought it was next to nothing. The more recent thing was settled by the school. Why settle if you aren't guilty? Because defending to the end of litigation is more costly than just saying here take some money and end this garbage. Unabomber should talk to the former players praising Kirk in the videos post win. Have him go talk to Wirfs, Kirksey, Hyde, Higgins, etc etc etc. No the Unabomber wants to talk to Wadley.

Rhabdo:

Iowa Rhabdo Lawsuit Settled

Nearly five years after 13 of its football players landed in the hospital with exertional rhabdomyolysis, the University of Iowa is settling a lawsuit resulting from the incident. Former Hawkeye William Lowe sued the program, with claims of negligence in developing and implementing a “dangerous, improper training program.” Although athletic trainers and coaches were cleared of wrongdoing related to this incident, recommendations to discontinue the workout and find better ways of identifying players with health complications were adopted by the university.
An article in the Miami Herald reports that court officials were notified of a settlement of $15,000 by a university lawyer. The lawsuit claims that coaches and athletic trainers did not supervise a high-intensity workout that occurred in January 2011, in which players’ mental toughness, physical stamina, and desire to be on the team were tested.

As part of the workout, players completed 100 back squats at 50 percent of their most recent personal best. According to Lowe’s suit, players were required to complete additional workouts the following days, despite reporting pain in his legs, stiffness, abnormally dark urine, and extreme fatigue—all symptoms of rhabdomyolysis, which is the result of muscles breaking down and releasing proteins into the blood.

Along with the settlement, the university paid some of Lowe’s hospital and medical expenses and allowed him to keep his scholarship after leaving the team. Lowe’s attorney, Brian Galligan, told the Miami Herald that Lowe is satisfied with the resolution of the case.

I'll never forget when Rob Howe posted something on twitter about a deal basically being done for a new OC after Brian got fired, and I replied to him questioning his accuracy. He immediately blocked me, and then Tim Lester (not the guy Howe tweeted about) got hired.

He's a little *****

While that scenario may true in some circumstances, I don’t think it has much merit when applied to the former player lawsuit.

The University/State of Iowa has enormous financial resources and could easily absorb any costs. The cost to defend the case was minuscule in relation to to the budget

Moreover, settlement was reached late in the process - after considerable expenses (approximate $2M) were already incurred during pre-trial discovery and motion practice - and just days before the trial was to begin. JMO.

Something weird from the article:

"But if you believe he acted alone, you’re probably still searching for a second shooter in the grassy knoll."

^^^ What's up with that? Rob comes off pretty kooky there. I used to post on Hawkeyenation. Rob spent decades being an Ultrapologist. Then he slowly started interjecting his goofy politics into his work, and now he's just damaged goods. I will say this, he bounced many a rational fan off the website Miller created.

What about KF and Margaret F’s. Donations to the children’s hospital Rob?
Doesn’t change anything. My daughter was in the room he was horored for. He got a good sized deduction amount back on taxes. Nice gesture but I think he is still comfy.

have to agree with Rob on what he brings up. KF is a man. Few qualify as great men. Anyone not bothered by the Doyle award

It’s really the Brian Ferentz situation that should draw the most scrutiny to Kirk. He should own the fact that he probably cost Iowa big ten championships by putting his family in front of the program. Still not sure why he doesn’t get more flack for that. This other stuff in the article just feels like exaggeration.

Still pisses me off it was even allowed to happen. He’d still be here today if it were up to Kirk 😡
