Exposure! Will they get more/better exposure playing in USA where NBA scouts can see them at any time and they make ESPN highlights? Or playing on a team somewhere in the South Pacific?
But,in Hampton's case his family is moving with him.Just goes to show that some of these kids are in a hurry to get paid and are giving the finger to the NCAA.
This doesnt hurt the kid at all, he is already on NBA Scouts radar. And he gets paid while playing and working on his game.
College hoops fans are the only losers in this model in that we dont get a season to see what the kid can do here.
We're seeing about 1 per year of these now. And some kids aren't ready to be that far from home. But unless the NCAA makes big changes, my crystal ball says we'll see this number increase over the next 5 years, particularly if one of these kids makes a big splash in the league.
Not really the way I see it. He is basically telling the other 3 schools it was never going to be them and that they weren't good enough for him. At least he had the respect to cut the 2 schools he was more interested in.
I agree but every major recruit that has tried this strategy has seen their stock fall because of it. Brandon Jennings and Emmanuel Mudiay were both in the conversation as best overall prospect in their class as HS Seniors and both went mid lottery. There’s nothing wrong with that as far as getting drafted but they lost quite a bit of money too. Terrence Ferguson did the same thing and he probably lost quite a bit of money doing so after the tear he got on during the all star circuit.
Mudiay still went top 10 (#7)
Idk which is better. @Nooneputsbabyinacorner looking like a complete fool , yet again, OR him not going to Memphis State.
I’m thinking the former.
RJ is visiting Kansas on Thursday with Jalen and announcing on Tuesday BEFORE the visit. Use your brains people
[laughing]Kansas gonna be ferocious

His father raved about Kentucky in several interviews. Not one word about Kansas. All the RJ to Kansas smoke came from homer Jayhawk fans. [laughing][laughing]Are you serious bro?
Very! I know you won't see it that way as your team is one of the 3 it happened with, but it's pretty evident if you live in reality. Are you serious bro?
I understand all that, but if you went to college you understand that it's an incredible time and the first time a kid is on their own. I hope this kid does great, but not going to college is missing out on a part of growth.
UPS drivers wont exist in 10 years though.I often think I wasted 6 years of my life in college when I could have done better joining UPS or some other unskilled workforce. Instead I went to Murray State (prob my first mistake lol) and now am out of my field and a State employee. I could have made double what I make now if I had chosen more wisely.

Makes sense to me. If I had top 10 pick basketball talent, I wouldn't want to be a slave for the corrupt NCAA when I could make $125k and hoop all day. Emmert is such a corrupt POS it disgusts me, one of the most prominent faces of greed in the world today
In order to be eligible next year for the draft, he needed to reclass and graduate HS.Did he need to reclass to go pro?
Or was he just trolling KU?
“College isn’t for everyone” lol ... it’s not really that difficult for 7 months.
But on the same token, moving thousands of miles across the world “isn’t for everyone either.” Ya know?
Bit modern slavery, much different. I just cannot stand the injustice of the NCAA and understand the decision he made. Seems like he wants to make the most out of his time to develop. Missing out on the outside of basketball college experience, but that is what he wanted to do.Slave? Really lol
Still no word from a baby? It would be front and center early this morning had Hampton went to the bread factory.
