Success starts in the trenches. If you can't protect the QB you're not going to get good ones. If you can't make a hole for the running back you're not gonna get good ones.

Can't wait for the day when running backs run hard to where the hole is or supposed to be rather than all the zone read lackadaisical running looking for a hole. Gives defense time to recover and get the advantage imo

This dude is gonna be a beast on the D line!!

I agree. Seems to be a wrecking ball. I think the key to every class is to find at least one kid at every level who has a really high ceiling. He seems like the one on DL this class. McGhaee seems like the LB. And Benning seems like the DB.

Carlon Jones is my guy like Nash was in his class. Jones is going to be a good one.

Frost seemed to sign quite a few kids that it appeared most programs backed off for whatever reason. I think it was probably just due to the general laziness and taking flyers to fill the class.
In time, Rhule's preference for taking high upside two stars earlier in the process and develop them will prove to be much more effective than taking Frost's strategy of taking 4 star players late in the process who other schools didn't want.

Jalen Lloyd is the first such example. Watching #90 playing in key situations again yesterday gives me further hope.

This. If Rhule would ask TO to teach him his offense and implement it correctly, we would probably be in the top 10 right now.
They’re meeting pretty regularly it sounds like and Rhule and Satt are using a lot of TO’s concepts. People forget that Tom’s offenses evolved from year to year and were tweaked weekly. Tom’s offense today would be different than it was 26 years ago. We don’t have the horses IMO to do some of the things he could do.

I have little doubt that Tom is sending play suggestions to our OC like he tried to do with both Frank and Bo. Tom suggested the pass play that won us that rain soaked game in Columbia Missouri.

Yeah, because nothing says success like a 90 year-old guy's opinion who hasn't won at anything football related in 25 years. And nothing says top 10 in the nation over the last 25 years like option football. Can't believe nobody's cracked that code yet.

LOL, TO is football smarter than 99.99% of the fans on these message boards.. AND by a substantial margin I might add. But that never stops most of those fans from offering unsolicited advice and criticism to the coaches even though they never won any championships.

Vs taking the opinion of a younger, smug, low IQ message board troll…. I’ll stick with Dr Tom

That 90 year knows a thing or 2 about football. Only a dipshit wouldn't take the time to listen to him.

But still wouldn't be a top ten team.

I would venture to say 100% of message board posters.
