No. Break the arms of a repeat offender woman beater. You’re not very good at this game Stalker.
*alleged* woman beater

seems pretty similar to Mickey's situation

veracity and such

either way, not shocked to see you on two different sides of the same coin.

moral compass in the bermuda triangle.

I'm sure this WR is a scumbag. if he comes here, let's hope he can stay on the field and make plays. art/artist.

We'll all be fine with him getting a second chance. Until he messes something up on the field. Like drops a touchdown pass. Then we'll all be like, "Isn't that the guy who beats up girls?"

But if he does go to Colorado, then he becomes a dog and/or leader, right?
Am not privy to how Deion classifies his kids. Simply passing along what he calls them. It’s a little much for me, personally, but kids evidently buy into it. It resonates over there. Obviously a cultural difference between here and there that’s a completely different discussion. One factor maybe in his success recruiting?

Not seeing the evidence of either his kids buying in or his success recruiting. But you do you.

Had the #1 transfer portal haul, so that’s something. Likely a 1-loss team into a Bowl team. Ain’t gonna win their conference, but they done more on paper than we have, SO FAR. Happy to let it play out…

You’d rather see us develop 3-stars who wanna play for us for free (but hey it’s the ‘Nebraska Way!), whilst being content watching the top couple hundred best athletes goto other teams because they’re getting paid (buncha hooligans), and expect this to somehow be an advantage for us? You do you.

If we’re the opposite of Prime as a program, as a role model and a rep of our state, I’m 100% down with that.

We’re getting our fair share of guys who will be 4 stars when it’s all said and done. IMO unlike recent history we’re seeing guys get developed.

He wouldn’t do well here, agree 100%, but would opine that this fact has as much to with the inflexible nature of Husker fans as it does Deion’s flamboyance, and it’s costing us talent. There’s gotta be a happy medium in there that allows us to compete for talent with other actually competitive teams by paying some players.

If we can’t adapt to the reality of paying for talent, as the better teams with Less Deion-like coaching staffs ALL DO, we’re gonna have a ceiling as to how much better we can get.

I will be SHOCKED if Colorado ends up with a better record than Nebraska. Bookmark this. Rub my nose in it if I’m wrong. I will have deserved it.

But until that happens, I reiterate, I will be SHOCKED if Colorado ends the season with a better record than Nebraska.

They did have the best portal class, that is actually a fact. They also had the #31 HS class and are working on the #64 ranked HS class this year. So they better be able to develop some 3-stars or worse.

They also aren’t going to a bowl game, I don’t even know how you can seriously type that and believe it. Colorado ia getting worse every week and are far more likely to end the year 4-8 than to go to a bowl game. Even with all those dogs and leaders.

Your post makes me wonder. Is Prime so shallow that he mostly looks at recruiting rankings while ignoring the hard work of watching tape and making phone calls to build relationships with coaches to determine the guys who have great upside? I could be wrong, but I think he expects people to be impressed with his resume alone. That’ll get you so far, but good high school coaches want their guys to succeed and not be thrown away by an egotistical bs artist.

I’m not so biased to think we ONLY want 3 star guys that are projects. We’ll pursue higher ranked players all the while determining if they are a good fit in terms of character and the desire to buy into the program and grow. Thats hard work, but it pays dividends.

I said it before and I'll say it again. We have plenty of players in last years and this years class that Deion would love to have. And we beat him straight up for our freshman wr that is starting this week.

It amazes me how high school football doesn't enforce any of the padding rules. I remember people getting flagged for having their knee pads not covering or them looking if you were wearing your mouth guard. Now it is basically wearing shorts and QB pads.

sometimes. Not here tho. Curious to know what you think I'm mischaracterizing...

Verbalizing the desire to develop 3-star unpaid players into competitive team is in fact currently 'the Nebraska Way', because that's what most on here have literally are espousing, whether they meant it or not... and it's pretty obviously what we've been attempting to do for the last 3 coaching cycles, unsuccessfully. INCLUDING this one. Neither Riley nor HCSF really recruited for ****.

Saying you disagree with the whole concept of paying players is tantamount to writing off the majority of basically all four and five star athletes at this point, isn't it?

I was thinking about this when I saw a Illinois player run a play with his mouthguard dangling. I started thinking about the pads we wore back in the day and maybe the small shoulder pads are just as good now due to technology as the Frankenstein ones we wore. And then I thought what do knee pads really do for a guy? Especially now that blocking below the waist has been eliminated. I expect he would have his pants below his knees and elbow sleeves if it were a full contact practice or game to prevent abrasion. Otherwise he seems to have it covered with thigh, hip and shoulder pads, a helmet with eye shield and a teeth/lips mouthguard.

I think these days people are more tolerant about giving second chances. Now of course if a player commits a really bad offense while on the team, then people do expect to see that player dismissed.
Which is why he was dismissed. The only differences are time and location, the facts of what he did to get booted remain the same.

Exactly. Osborne's political clout would mean nothing in 2023. I wrote in another thread, Phillips and Christian Peter would be finishing their careers elsewhere if they played today.

I made that comment a few years ago that I didn't feel sorry for anyone that gets injured below the waist. They do wear thigh pads but that's it.
Well I got totally taken to the woodshed on here 😅

Yeah I hear you. I wish back in the day I didn't have to wear all of the padding, but I can tell you it was definitely enforced. It is wild how far they have come though in just like 20 years as far as helmets and padding. Not that long ago you actually had to sew your pants in with your belt and depending on your school you might be wearing **** from like the 70's or 80's. Now you can just buy compression shorts with all of that in it. Also, the helmets were awful. I had basically permanent stitches during football season because my helmet cut the very top of my nose all of the time. I'd always try to get in line first, but all of them were the same. The helmets now are so nice compared to the stiff bricks we had to wear. The funny part too is I sound like I'm 90, but I'm 39.
