You're the he first one to tell me that then because everyone else on here has said he's an excellent shooter. We all know you can never have too many shooters. I'm not saying he can shooter like booker only that he could play a role similar to booker
Booker was always an excellent perimeter shooter. According to people who have seen him play, Alexander doesn't have that kind of range, but is more than capable from mid-range.

Looks to me like Alexander can put the ball in the basket, but he needs to clean up his form.

Those things are usually tough to straighten out over your first summer, but we can hope for the best.

Shooting is listed as a weakness for all 3 signers so far.
But that's OK., what we need are slashers......
You can never have too many slashers.

Cal recruits plenty of shooters, and gets his fair share. This constant drumbeat about Cal not caring about shooters is tiresome. If people want spot shooters who do nothing else, go cheer for Duke.

Calipari recruits shooters. He just hasn't landed as many as he would have liked. Additionally, in most classes, they're very few elite shooters.

Also, we can't forget that many of our anticipated "shooters" every season tend to be freshmen. Freshmen are not going to shoot like seniors. The best CBB shooters are generally upperclassmen. Shooting accuracy, maybe more than any other skill, is a skill that develops.

My point is that many of our guys are good shooters - for freshmen. If they came back for multiple years (see Jodie Meeks) the best would likely kill it shooting wise, just like they do in the NBA.

For goodness sake, Alexander shot 43% from 3 in the 2015 adidas uprising and 39% in the 2016 eybl. He is just fine as a shooter.

Those guys on Syracusefan site are cracking me up. In the last two posts I read one guy claims Nerlens flipped to UK from Georgetown literally 2 hours before his announcement. Nevermind that he went to the barber shop the morning of his announcement to get UK cut into the back of his hair.

The last guy says he "knows for a fact" that UK/boosters pay players. Well if he "knows for a fact" then he obviously has proof, why hasn't he informed the NCAA of this blatant violation? Grasping at straws....

EDIT:

Now there's a guy claiming UK paid "the young lady" Katina Powell to come forward and get Louisville into trouble. This is comedy gold!
They said that we bought DaJuan Coleman a house. They are literally the dumbest fanbase in college basketball.

Seems like my post went right over your head.
Typical knee-jerk remark ....
BTW, over a 65 yr period, I have seen 1000's of games.
coached 100's and played a few........every game was won
by the team that scored the most points......or maybe they
were won by the team that yielded the least points.......
or it was 50/50.

Here is why there is a bit of confusion on Alexander's shooting. I believe since he backed away from AAU a bit to play with his national team he hasnt been seen and or scouted enough recently by the predraft sites or the recruiting gurus. So some of their info on him may be dated. Meaning obviously in the events he has played in lately he has shot around 40percent which I believe qualifies him a pretty good shooter. For accurate info on him we need to see what his Canadian coach says and what his hs senior stats are and then I believe we will know. Sounds like to me a kid shooting well from midrange when he was younger and increased his range as he has gotten older

Well, the "clarity" comment gives us hope that he's had a last minute change in his decision. But then again, his clarity could be a result of having the opportunity to talk to our current players and finding out that he will have to go to class and do his own work if he attends UK.

Tried to tell you guys.. Syracuse fans are morons.

I don't even know why they hate UK so much.. I mean, yeah 1996, ok. But that was one of the greatest basketball teams of all time. Sorry that we were better and won? It's not like the outcome was unsubstantiated.

But Louisville, Uconn, Duke. Why the hell are you focused on Kentucky? Because I can tell you this, aside from laughing at your sorry excuse for a program.. We NEVER talk about Syracuse. You're a true after-thought.

Some idiot Cuse fan said he can't wait to see UK fans have a fit if Quade picks Syracuse Saturday. Bwahaha, no moron, we're not desperate like Syracuse. We have other options, we actually have abundance in recruiting and don't really put recruits on a pedestal as if they're a make or break for our program. If he picks Cuse we're fine, if he picks us we're fine, we are not you.

[laughing] @ the Orange turds for brains disparaging Cal as a known cheater, while they hold court in a dilapidated dome
with a dick nose for a coach, who has been reprimanded for years upon years of cheating.

You can't make this isht up. [laughing] [jumpingsmile] [roll]

Dick nose [laughing] a booger pickin', eatin' dick nose at that.

i find syracuse mostly irrelevant. their claim to fame is that they played in an east coast conference that was made for tv and a coach that whines and complains all the time.

they are good for 1 thing and thats beating ul...seems they dont even do that.

You're irrelevant to the big boys, whether you want to admit it or not. Kentucky worries about Kansas and Duke.. Kansas worries about UNC and Kentucky.. and so on. While we all hate each other, we're all in agreement that Syracuse really doesn't matter. You'll get a win on us here and there.. maybe surpass us in the tournament every so often.. but you're not a threat.. not anymore than Gonzaga or Florida or Georgetown or Wichita St.

You better pray to God Green doesn't pick UK.. because I saw all the unfounded trash that was posted on the Syracuse Board.. and I'm coming to collect if he chooses the Wildcats.

Edit: That is if you guys don't kill yourselves first. Syracuse is on Suicide watch right now.

Yeah, I think the majority of us would probably say it's Syracuse if forced to guess. If so, there will be no meltdown here.

Of course, on the flip-side, if by chance he picked UK, that forum of their's would be entertainment gold. They've already stated that if it's UK, it's because of the $$. But of course if his pick is Syracuse, he's clean. Lol, they have their bases covered.

They might be as delusional and paranoid about UK as IU fans.............and that's saying a lot.

Whoaaaa.. Their board in the last 3 hours has totally turned. Last few pages of posts, Cuse fans are in damage control, talking about where their roster goes from here.

Gonna do more digging.. Hard to sift through the UK nonsense they post.

Edit: Ehh, just a few posters losing their minds.. nothing really new.

It seems like one of their Moderators is hearing Kentucky and their other insider is confirming....

"I hope I am wrong, but I hear there is no LOI and its Kentucky.

I'll gladly take whatever heat if I'm wrong...but I don't think I am."

Uh oh.. Didn't read that part.. but it would make sense since they are starting to meltdown.

Woe is us,

What will our roster be like.

I haven't been back there reading in the last hour or so, but what about the guy that was telling everyone today that he confirmed Syracuse has his LOI? I took it that he is a trusted insider?

Evidently Gerry McNamara (lead Syracuse recruiter) hosts a radio show similar to KSR and has been
AWOL since QG attended the UK game @ MSG Tuesday night.
Wait, their assistant coach and apparently lead recruiter hosts a radio show in season? What kind of clown outfit are they running up there?

Bees what are you hearing on QG?
What Jake has told me and posted here.

I don't know. That board, or at least that thread is flying off the handle today. I've tried to read through as much as I can. It sounds like some people are saying there is an LOI, others saying no. The one post I copied and then later confirmed. The most recent is another poster that people seem to trust is saying Quade is wearing orange. I'm sure they will be swinging back and forth a ton in the next few days.

It reminds of some of the pseudo-insiders we get around here. I can't remember who it was but there was a poster on here the past couple of years trying to make predictions and inevitably getting them wrong. Bolden to UK and crap like that.
