i find syracuse mostly irrelevant. their claim to fame is that they played in an east coast conference that was made for tv and a coach that whines and complains all the time.

they are good for 1 thing and thats beating ul...seems they dont even do that.
oh, and their coach was K's assistant for Team USA

yada yada yada

Bees what are you hearing on QG?
What Jake has told me and posted here.

I don't know. That board, or at least that thread is flying off the handle today. I've tried to read through as much as I can. It sounds like some people are saying there is an LOI, others saying no. The one post I copied and then later confirmed. The most recent is another poster that people seem to trust is saying Quade is wearing orange. I'm sure they will be swinging back and forth a ton in the next few days.

It reminds of some of the pseudo-insiders we get around here. I can't remember who it was but there was a poster on here the past couple of years trying to make predictions and inevitably getting them wrong. Bolden to UK and crap like that.

Jake = the admin; he's been trusted for a long, long time. He's saying Quade = Kentucky.

Orangeman13 = newer poster; nobody really trusts him at all, but he called Andrew White transferring to us as well as (I think) Taurean Thompson committing. He's saying Quade = Cuse.

Jake is the trusted one.

Edit: Personally, my hopes are definitely low as a Syracuse alum, but it is what it is. The thread will be very entertaining for the next few days before the real depression sinks in (assuming Jake is the one that is correct).

Apparently Jake, a respected moderator, on Syracusefan is hearing it's UK. Orangeman13 just drove in from Erie, PA and stopped to have relations with his girl but he has a source that "only reports news, not rumors" who says it's Syracuse. Orangeman13 is stopping somewhere to buy some "gear".

I've bookmarked the Syracusefan website so I can return anytime I need a good laugh. By then UK will be accused of sinking the Titanic and causing global warming.

I remember Green's comments regarding the mural inside the Craft Center of all the active UK, NBA players. Said at the time it was "eye opening."

That combined with the fact that Boeheim is the biggest douche bag coach in college basketball, screams UK to me!

Thanks for stopping by and clearing that up melancer . I don't have the hate for Cuse alot UK fans do as my best friend is a Cuse fan and really all the people on that sight are doing is accussing us of the same crap that all UK fans ( and most logical fans ) know is garbage - WWW , paying players ect . I think it seems like the game on Tuesday showed Green what he needed to see and he wants to be a part of the program that gives players the best chance to win a ton and also be a high draft pick . But maybe not and that is ok too. Good luck to Green either way.

Let alone the fact they want him to stay 2 or 3 years. They livin' in the past. [laughing]

No worries. Every fanbase has their bad eggs. One of my best friends is a Kentucky fan too; still lives around there today. It was driving me nuts seeing you guys trying to figure out who the trusted posters over there were and then I remembered I had an account to post here haha. Figured I could at least clear that up for you. Obviously we're all hoping Jake is wrong this time and that this Orangeman13 guy is right, but as you could tell from the thread over there, a lot of us aren't taking it well right now.

Regardless of what happens. Your site does have some people that show a lot of common sense and have a good sense of humor. There's also a few I'm certain you don't want to claim... every family has them.

Hahaha, for sure. If you perused some of the other sub-forums there, you'd see that Orangeman13 (the one keeping our hope alive) is one of those posters we don't really want to claim.

This os one of the most impressive meltdowns I've ever seen. Too bad Jason Spear doesn't read other teams boards.

Oh there's been much, much worse.

You should have seen us during the summer of 2015. Even though we already had 2 top-20 players signed and a couple quality 4 star guys, and some good pieces coming back, we were going crazy with every Zimmerman, Jaylen Brown, Swanigan, and Newman commitment to other schools.

Calipari has spoiled us rotten. We think every class needs to be stocked with at least 4 McDonald's All-Americans.

Yeah, I bet. Syracuse is usually happy to simply take a few 50-100 ranked players; despite his hands-off approach, Boeheim has seemingly done a really good job of developing 3 and 4 star recruits into potential NBA prospects (even if they haven't panned out very well at the next level). They've started to try to compete more with schools like Kentucky though, and this year, we're looking at 7 open scholarships, and if we strike out on Quade, potentially 0 top 100 recruits for the first time since probably the 1990's. As entertaining as that thread is right now, if Quade does indeed choose Kentucky like it sounds like he will, that thread is going to turn into the 5 stages of grief real quick.

From their trusted admin, Jake.

"I will say this...absolutely nothing would surprise me on this. NOTHING.

If I was told he signed 0 LOIs I'd believe it. If I was told he signed 2 LOIs I'd believe it.

If I was told he told the coaching staff one thing and did another I'd believe it.

But my absolute best rock solid source says it ain't us."

Congrats. We went to four of them in the last six seasons.

Thats great I never called your irrelevant . We have gone to two in four years, and have a team good enough to win it all this year, a lot of programs would like to be irrelevant like that.

Evidently Gerry McNamara (lead Syracuse recruiter) hosts a radio show similar to KSR and has been
AWOL since QG attended the UK game @ MSG Tuesday night.
Latest news out of Syracuse is that their internet board is imploding because of multiple rumors that Quade Green declined to sign with Syracuse and will pick Kentucky. FWIW.

I would advise everyone to take this latest buzz with a huge grain of salt. Quade isn't announcing until Saturday and he wants to have his day. Everyone has been saying it's a done deal to Syracuse and all of sudden at the last minute we have this drama.

I wouldn't put it past some of the Syracuse people to put out some misdirection just to increase the impact of the commitment, especially if you've already got an NLI in hand.

I'm going to wait until Saturday night to get excited about this - or not.

WWW has had to pay what, 40 recruits or so according to those morons, but hasn't been caught yet. They're "clean" and get caught all the time, that's how dumb they are. Oh, enjoy your probation Strugglecuse.

Yeah that's why I've never got that argument by other fan bases...too large of a potential paper trail for nothing to come up.

It's hysterical that the two boards are basically lobbing rocks over the walls at each other, but no direct contact, with the exception of a few posters.

So passive aggressive (them AND us to be fair), it's cracking me up.

Oh man, this is my favorite so far:

Could something have actually gone WRONG at the Colgate game?

Yeah, it's called bringing in your top recruit to watch Syracuse play a nobody. Kentucky brings him in for a mass televised, Goliath battle at MSG, in front of a ton of NBA scouts and personalities... Learn recruiting.

Some of their posters are cracking me up. orangefog is hilarious. They really do have a lot of funny people on their site. I'm sure they don't appreciate me finding humor in their pain.

A little help for the dumb Syracuse fans. A recruit is never a 100% yours until he signs with you. He was 100% Syracuse for 2 years but never commited, think about that, but don't hurt yourselves.

The Crystal Ball is useless until it's decision time. Late movement like that always catches my eye, but there's still time for it to all shift back.

That's EXACTLY what I was thinking. If he was 100% why did he wait? Because he's not the usual top PG Cal goes after. But he had to change plans a few months ago because we were going to have guard issues. And for Green, Cal/Kentucky is the better choice.

It's not that difficult. Syracuse and Western NY is no one's top choice.. even the smart posters on the Syracuse Forums know this.

So we recruited this kid for 2 years, pushed away other guards to make him priority #1 and then UK comes in last minute and scoops him. Is that basically the summation here?

These hoes aint loyal.

Also, you better believe Jim B is going to to media if Green picks Kentucky. I can't say that I don't feel bad for 'Cuse.. to put this much work in, pushing guards away, and Cal comes in and plucks him? That sucks. But yeah.. Boeheim is gonna lose his **** like the 80-year grump he is. That's the only guarantee in this whole thing.

Not only that, a week after Quade Green attended Big Blue Madnes, they brought him in to their Orange Madness. Their Orange Madness is pathetic. No energy, empty seats everywhere, 70 year old nose picking coach looking like Mr Burns, and a 40+ year old rapper who hasn't been relevant in over a decade. Seriously, look at this ****.
