Did you notice how many times Gio scrambled after going back to pass? I don't think those were designed plays; rather, Gio didn't see anyone open and so he ran to make yardage. Our receivers are just not doing a good job getting separation. But it's not all their fault; Gio is missing receivers who are open, as with the passes into the end zone in the 1st and 4th quarter. So it's both QB and receivers. I don't know what to say about the coaching. I can't tell what patterns they're running, so I can't judge whether there are better patterns that can be run. I will say that I am surprised there aren't more short passes to our running backs, or more screens to wide receivers. Maybe the receivers will improve as they gain more experience; I suspect Gio, while he can improve, is pretty much a known quantity at this point.
