That’s why he’s 77-89. That’s why he’s left 54% of his games as head coach a loser. Hes coached 4 teams and only has a winning record at one of those places, the lowest one

We all know this is his last season but he is also publicly bitching about the program and potentially making it a less desirable job, not only by being so lame at coaching but by also bitching non-stop that NU simply won't pony up.

I know fans will lose their minds because he has not "won at a P4" school but he looks more more and more like a Cigs...
If he has a typical season this year he will be like 75-15 or something like that in his career.

Hey Matt, you have more money and better facilities than Minnesota. And every year the Gophers kick your butt. Guess what they have that we don’t: a coach who recruits 2 and 3 stars and then coaches them up over 4-5 years. And a coach who instills a culture of discipline—you have to beat MN, they won’t hand you the game in the 4Q like you always do.

I wonder how Ravi and Damon will defend this. Damon will feed listeners a word casserole mixed with "you don't understand this like I do" and "Coach Rhule and I understand this like no other". Ravi will use his YMCA coaching experience as his soapbox.

If there’s one thing I’m confident that’s happening. Is that all the big time schools are waiting for Matt’s words of wisdom on NIL and taking that back to their donors. “Matt Rhule said the market is X, we got a have more to stay ahead of 7 win Nebraska” and just like that they get 50% more on their budget.
Every other Nebraska coach faces the same headwinds - but they win with what they have. Also Nebraska would still likely be in the top 20 for NIL - so play like it.
