Pre academic scandal, my concern with replacing Flood was we wouldn't have enough money to hire someone who had aleady "done it". We'd be forced to go MAC(my preference) of first time coach who would have to learn on the job. I am very happy to have been very wrong. Of course, he still has to prove he can be a head coach on Saturdays but the amount of positive change and buzz he has brought to this program in such a short time is light years ahead of what I believed any first time coach could do here. Happy days.
If you told me last year that Barchi would have replaced Flood, Hermann, and Jordan I would have thought you were crazy. I really thought Flood bought himself two years at least with 2014, obviously there were some chinks in the armor that some insiders were aware of (but I wasn't).
