Dude just can't seem to catch a break, with all these other programs paying players and whatnot.
ThisI can't disagree with what he is saying, he pretty much nailed the problem at hand.
IF there ever was a perfect example of "The pot calling the kettle black" this would be it for sure. Poor Nick Saban.Dude just can't seem to catch a break, with all these other programs paying players and whatnot.
ThisMan, just say what you really mean.
"I have always supported the paying of players during and after the recruitment process. They deserve to make a living as well. However, I am very against this practice being above the board as it increases competition for bringing top athletes into my program"
Only white people can be racist, didnāt you know..Did someone just commit a racism with that comment.
IF there ever was a perfect example of "The pot calling the kettle black" this would be it for sure. Poor Nick Saban.
You didn't watch the video, did you?I'm supposed to believe Saban has never created an advantage for himself, hypocrite.
I watched it.You didn't watch the video, did you?
Looks like the same kids I see driving around Minneapolis . And they arenāt playing football ā¦.Meanwhile, Alabama players before NIL:

For every kid getting paid, there's several more transferring out and not ending up anywhere. There's a lot of negative fallout from NIL and it will only continue. This
I would love to see proof of one single actual negative fallout from NIL
so far, just a bunch of crusty clueless old dudes bellyaching about locker room chemistry while kids earn the money they deserve
if a dinosaur like nick saban wants to take his ball and go home, you can be sure the thing heās afraid of is GREAT for college football on the whole
kids transferring without a landing spot is hardly new & always a good thing for the player. hard lessons need to be learned early by those who need to focus their time and energy elsewhere (not to mention avoiding potential serious injury by continuing to play). For every kid getting paid, there's several more transferring out and not ending up anywhere. There's a lot of negative fallout from NIL and it will only continue.
He made a lot of valid points, irregardless of what college football has been doing under the table for years.I watched it.
the only problem I see with NIL is people continuing to listen to scumbags like saban, who all of a sudden yearns for everything once again being 'equal' (LOL!)
Jimbo hits the nail on the head with his response:
It's just a high paying minor league now.Said it here before, the world of college football as we know it is fading fast.
I fully expect a non-collegiate developmental league to emerge within the next several years.
What did he mail , besides talking about himself, Jimbo is one of the biggest cheats and slimeballs in CFB.
I agree on the Alabama part, I am saying Jimbo shouldnāt call anybody out for not following rules. That schools like Alabama have been paying players, giving themselves an advantage over the schools following the rules, for a long time (which is true). Seemed pretty obvious, regardless of your feelings about Jimbo.
everybody should call everybody out. good old boys club is being burned to the ground as we speakI agree on the Alabama part, I am saying Jimbo shouldnāt call anybody out for not following rules.
please list the valid points he madeHe made a lot of valid points, irregardless of what college football has been doing under the table for years.
And in the NFL where things really are equal due to caps and it's up to you and your team to manage, he was subpar. You can only do so much if gms make dumb $decisions or idiotic draftingIt is so funny because all these guys know how much "cheating" went on and I am sure still goes on, but they all honor the code.
Don't talk about it to anyone that is not in the coaching business.
I love that Saban at MSU, where the cheating is lowkey compared to LSU and Bama, could not do much at all...but at LSU and Bama where the boosters are happy to help you cheat, the dude is a legend.
not just subpar, he cried like a b*tch and quit when he couldn't win in the men's leagueAnd in the NFL where things really are equal due to caps and it's up to you and your team to manage, he was subpar. You can only do so much if gms make dumb $decisions or idiotic drafting

When ncaa was headquartered in kc it seemed like they were constantly looking for trouble in Lincoln. Budget didn't allow them to travel very farTO > Saban for that reason alone
I mean the years at MSU prove more than the years at Bama. And in the NFL where things really are equal due to caps and it's up to you and your team to manage, he was subpar. You can only do so much if gms make dumb $decisions or idiotic drafting
