If Cal had Pitinos players, would he be in the tournament?
I vaguely remember when he coached. I think UK played him once when he was there but I don't remember the details.
The overrated vampire Pitino goes down in flames in the first weekend like he usually does in the NCAA tournament.

People act like Pitino took a team that had never been to the tournament or hadnt been in 20 years. I think last season they did lose in the conference tournament before it got cancelled but before that, they won it 4 straight seasons. Iona has been the best program in the MAAC since Fran McCaffery left Siena, which even before that they were successful under Jeff Ruland. I believe he took them to 4 NCAA Tournaments himeself. Having said that, it wouldnt surprise me if he does build a team at Iona that can make a run they've never had before.
What does this have to do Cal? Pitino has been a total abysmal failure since he left UK.
I suggest you check Pitinoās NCAA tournament record since he left UK. If you can remove your lips from Rickās sack long enough to do so.
Shouldn't have mentioned him, it probably doesn't have anything to do with Cal because it's a NCAA Tournament discussion and Cal's record this year isn't even CBI worthy.

Rick did a nice job of getting them ready and playing hard. Unfortunately for him/them, they needed to have an abnormally great shooting day from long distance to pull the upset. It didn't happen (5 of 23 from deep).
Even before those vacated years at UL, Pitino was a first weekend flameout or NIT participant most of the time. Pitino only made it out of the first weekend of the NCAA tournament 3 times in his first 10 years at UL. Maybe the Pitino nut suckers can explain that total failure as a coach.
